What does it mean when clairvoyance, clairaudience or clairsentience are referred to and how do these words link?
The terms used in a reading or often heard of as spoken in a spiritual sense are often one of the following three… Clairvoyance, is a word taken (from the French for clair meaning “clear” and voyance meaning “vision”) as a term it is used to refer to the ability to gain information about an item, object, person, location or something which has happened as a physical event through means other than the traditional senses, i.e., to use a form of extrasensory perception. When a medium or any person said to have the ability of clairvoyance is referred to as a clairvoyant it just means a reference to (“one who sees clearly”). If a message is given with or through the use of clairvoyance then it is primarily one given through an image or vision link. Parapsychology, including the study of clairvoyance, is an example of something which some classify as pseudoscience. Clairaudience is another term which is often used, this means ‘clear-hearing’. If a medium uses clairaudience to give a message then this is a reference to an ability to ‘hear’ Spirit. Clairaudience is used as a reference for issues of warnings or guidance, any sense based information about an event, someone or something which is going to be or has occurred. Clairsentience is an interesting aspect of the psychic world as it is the one which has the ability to cover a number of things such as the ability to sense what has happened to someone or to have a knowledge of things which have happened in a place simply from a sense of it. Mediums or people who have a claimed clairsentience will be able to state a connection to spirit through a sense of their emotion, of a physical condition or any sense link. The sense of someone which results in information is intriguing as it is an element which has been used in remote viewing, psychometry and distant message readings.
Psychometry (taken from the Greek to mean “spirit, soul” and “measure”), it is also known as token-object reading, or psychoscopy, it is a form of extra-sensory perception characterized by the claimed ability to make relevant associations from an object of unknown history by only making physical contact with that object. It is claimed that an object may have an energy associated to it or a link to someone who used to own it and have it with them regularly, it is that energy which is then a link to the transferred knowledge regarding that object’s history. All these terms used to refer to an ability, a process or a means of claimed information and linking to someone are widely referenced and used in spiritual references.
