Home circle.

Here is a summary of our home circle.

Home circle held 24th July 2018.

A physical séance is separated from that of other séance sittings because of the physical activity that can be noticed. Noises, visual experiences and movement can all be classed activity, that if investigated and unexplained, can be noted as associated evidence for a physical séance.

The séance started off in silence. There was nothing audibly depicted until messages in speech form stared to come from the medium. In a closed eyes trance, the medium started to describe appearances of individuals in spirit and then speech from those specific people started to flow. Contained within quite casual, conversational dialogue was personal messages from the individuals to the members who were sat within the séance.

Noises were heard and this was from a particular object on the laid out table. The noise was noted after several younger spirits had spoken to the sitting and were saying goodbye to the séance.

The medium associated a celebration for a gentleman in spirit. There was information given regarding someone thought to be Richard Burton, CBE (born Richard Walter Jenkins Jr.; 10 November 1925 – 5 August 1984) an internationally known Welsh actor. Noted for his mellifluous baritone voice, Burton established himself as a formidable Shakespearean actor in the 1950s, and he gave a highly and extremely notable performance of Hamlet in 1964. In the séance there was a link to an anniversary and poetry. Mentions of a lot of emphasis being given for his anniversary gathering in spirit and a sense of being much more able to love fully and freely being felt by him.

The séance was able to note a blue Orb at this point in the proceedings. Clear and vibrant, although investigated, there was nothing to suggest how the blue light should have come to be seen at it was at that time.

The medium talked of a gentleman in spirit and a quite detailed depiction of him was given. Information about him was linked to in the séance and it is believed that from what was spoken about, the person referenced in spirit is that of a Percy Bysshe Shelley (4 August 1792 – 8 July 1822) one of the major English Romantic poets. Research about him after the séance has shown that he is regarded by some as among the finest lyric and philosophical poets in the English language and one of the most influential. He is claimed to be radical in his poetry as well as in his political and social views, Shelley did not see fame during his lifetime, but recognition of his achievements in poetry grew steadily following his passing. Shelley was a key member of a close circle of visionary poets and writers that included Lord Byron, Thomas Love Peacock, Leigh Hunt and his own second wife, Mary Shelley the author of Frankenstein. William Wordsworth (7 April 1770 – 23 April 1850) a major poet and contributor to the literature of English historical acclaim was mentioned as a link by him in the séance.

It was useful to be able to make notes on if and how messages could be validated. Recipients of the information spoke of references and specific associations that meant something to them. The noise heard from over the table and the Orb sighting were both investigated thoroughly but other than the reports of them being noted, there was nothing physically able to prove how they had come to be witnessed. While a physical séance does focus on any unexplained visual, audible or sensory based claimed activity that might have occurred, the trance based speech and personal messages were able to be validated and were deemed as an insightful part of the investigation.
