A séance can only be as objective as the preparation and physical participation prior and during the investigation itself. Before the séance the room was filled with items and objects that could be fully visible from all seats in the room. Only easily noted items were used because of the ease of awareness that could be gained from them setting off any sounds or movement. Experienced members and medium gathered in the closed room and once everyone was happy, the séance itself began.
The séance started off with an interesting dialogue between spirits, medium and members. The verbal messages came from spirits as referred to because of their appearance and content of the speeches that they gave. What was intriguing was the number of spirits who the medium suddenly spoke of and in a rush her speech came about a line of people in spirit who all wanted to come through and speak. It was validated information that was noted and received by sitters. The messages were directed to them and to these members did not have to say anything other than a yes or no. Valuable evidence in a séance can be noted if the information can be quantifiable as either particularly pertinent or relevant to the recipient beyond any uncertainty. No doubts were given as for who the speakers were because detailed references were given by them as for what they wanted to say and to who they wished to speak. Serious and funnier moments were had as these messages were passed on to members in the séance.
Noises could be heard from another part of the room as one of the spirit’s spoke to a sitter. That was an investigative point because of the timing. As the spirit spoke of a particular object in question, it then physically could be heard as having made a noise. This activity was investigated as for how the sound had been heard, if it should have been and what possible reason was there for it having been noticed. On looking at the object there was nothing that was near to it or seen as being within a distance of coming into contact with it. There was no known explanation inside or outside of the room as for why the sound on that particular object was heard and at that specific time in the spirit’s speech.
The medium spoke of the respect and strength that was shown by a lady in spirit for a male, a gentleman who had passed. According to information about this gentleman in spirit, it is believed that he is a Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill KG OM CH TD PCc DL FRS RA (30 November 1874 – 24 January 1965) a British statesman, a writer and an army officer who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955. In the séance he was keen to be noted and mentioned as important was health, if one could physically strive for success he said, then the mental capability could be used to a full capacity. Over the course of his career as a Member of Parliament (MP), he represented five constituencies and this was in both England and Scotland. During his time as Prime Minister, Churchill led Britain to an allied victory in the Second World War. Marriage was talked about by him in the séance and strength of a leader he spoke of as not in the futility of a narrow thought out approach but in a broad spectrum view of what a nation needs and how best one can accommodate those same needs. A Conservative Party leader he led from 1940 to 1955. In 1953, Churchill won the Nobel Prize in Literature for his lifetime body of work.
It was a séance that proved to be thought-provoking. Not only because of the activity that coincided with that of a spirit mid-speech but in that of the lengthy spoken of words that were addressed to the séance. I think that it is important to note as much of what is seen, heard and experienced in the séance because then a much more analytical approach to any activity can be taken. Members were happy that they could access information that was relevant to them on a personal level. Significant was the unexplained activity in the sound that was heard and in the speeches that could later be researched and investigated further. Everything that was noted in the séance and after involved in research, has contributed to this written blog.
