These are the notes from an investigation into the occurrences at a séance. What was seen, felt, heard and reported are all included as objectively as possible. Notes on the occurrences and the exploration as for explanation are the basis of this blog and only what has not been answered serves as unexplained activity.
The medium at the beginning of the investigation gave information about people who have passed and were known to members in the séance. This information was seen in the form of messages. Past events were referenced, specific individuals were mentioned and phrases known of as recognisable to them were spoken about. Members could validate what was passed to them in messages and there were several referenced spirits who could speak to loved ones.
There were several poignant smells that were noted by members in the investigation. These were scents unexplained by any equipment or body found inside or outside of the séance room.
The medium talked of a male spirit, someone who because of the information is thought to be Benjamin Franklin (January 17, 1706 [January 6, 1705]– April 17, 1790) one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. Franklin was a renowned polymath and a leading author, he was a printer, politician, political theorist, freemason, postmaster, scientist, inventor, civic activist, statesman and a diplomat. He was a major figure in the American Enlightenment. In the arena of science he was an important person and particularly in the history of physics because of his discoveries and theories regarding electricity. It was as an inventor that he is known for the bifocals, lightning rod and the Franklin stove. Among other inventions he facilitated many civic organizations, including Philadelphia’s fire department and the University of Pennsylvania, which is an Ivy League institution.
Margaret Hilda Thatcher, Baroness Thatcher, LG, OM, PC, FRS, FRIC (nee Roberts; 13 October 1925 – 8 April 2013) is the female spirit matched to that of the spoken of spirit by the medium. A British stateswoman who was the Prime Minister of the Unkited Kingdom from 1979 to 1990 and the Leader of the Conservative Party from 1975 to 1990. The longest-serving British prime minister of the 20th century and the first woman to have held the office. Historically she became associated with her uncompromising politics and ability to lead. As Prime Minister, she implemented policies that have come to be known as Thatcherism. In the séance the female spirit spoke of the importance of being able to balance priorities in life, the quality of being able to lead and have a sense of family life. Leading, the spirit said is about being able to have a decision and adhering to it.
Margaret Thatcher was a research chemist before becoming a barrister. Thatcher was elected Member of Parliament for Finchley in 1959. Edward Heath appointed her Secretary of State for Education and Science in his 1970 government. In 1975, Thatcher defeated Heath in the Conservative Party leadership elction to become Leader of the Opposition and became the first woman to lead a major political party in the United Kingdom, she became Prime Minister after winning the 1979 general election.
In the séance both the latter spirits mentioned could be said were thinkers, pioneers and had interests in many inventive areas of life. In the investigation multiple spirits were noted as being able to pass messages to loved ones and there were some interesting speech based thoughts on what was important in life and how to go about being able to achieve.
