A séance is sat with certain requirements that need to be met. There will be objects used that can be examined properly, members will be experienced and the room itself will be prepared and if any activity does take place, this can be investigated.
It was an interesting start to the investigation as one of the objects caused intrigue. It was a small box that belonged to a person who has passed and was known of to three of the members. Inside the box there was contained some much loved pieces that had a certain specific scent on them. When opened the box was clearly detectable by the floral scent but when closed no smell could be depicted at all. A little while into the séance a noise could be heard and this was audible as similar to the lid of the box being lifted. Nothing was seen on or near to the box but oddly the smell of the floral scent was quite clearly depicted at that time. This incident happened again a little later into the séance when once again the floral scent was mentioned as being notable.
Orbs were very visible throughout the séance. Distinct lights could be seen as showing up besides or near to members’ faces. It is important to state that while investigation was made into how these lights were seen, there was nothing to explain why they were noticed and no means as for an explanation as for them from inside or outside of the room.
The medium was able to give messages that were later validated by members as from their loved ones in spirit. Funny phrases said to have been used by them did seem to tickle many of the members. There was a lovely and light atmosphere that has to be said did seem to have been felt by the members in the séance for much of the evening.
Dame Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor, DBE (February 27, 1932 – March 23, 2011) a British-American actress and a humanitarian is thought to be the female spirit referred to by the medium. She talked of a child’s birthday, of her loves in life and of loving the person she could be with people. As a child actress in the early 1940s she began her life in acting and was one of the most popular stars of Hollywood classical cinema in the 1950s. She continued her career successfully into the 1960s and he remained a well known public figure for the rest of her life. In 1999 the American Film Institute named her the seventh-greatest film screen legends.
There were many references to loving people in the séance and what was of interest was how this feeling could be shown to the investigation by many different means. There were moments of hilarity in messages, actual notable dates mentioned as remembered by loved ones in spirit and what was investigated but unexplained activity in the smells and sights of scents and lights that were noted. It was thought by many of the members that the séance seemed to focus on loving thoughts and how this could be represented by those for whom this was passed on.
