Home circle held on 1st December 2015.
The physical séance started with members sitting in a low lit and prepared room. All objects were checked. The séance was quiet for a half an hour until it was that members started to claim seeing Orbs. These unexplained lights were seen in the room for a few seconds each. The Orbs seemed to be noted near to where members were sitting and they were seen one at a time. The lights should not have been there as there was no cause as for how or why they were seen by the members in the séance.
There was a little while of quiet again before one of the members claimed an odd sense of coolness around her. It was as this was said that the séance noticed another unexplained light near to that sitter. The medium said there was a male spirit in the séance. The male was someone who went by the name of Johnathan and was associated with the written word. He was someone who wished to be remembered for an anniversary and for having contributed to society. The medium went on to talk about more information to do with this gentleman and it is believed from research that this links with Jonathan Swift (30 November 1667 – 19 October 1745) he was an Anglo-Irish satirist, he was an essayist, a poet, a political pamphleteer (first for the Whigs, then for the Tories) and cleric who became Dean of St Patrick’s Cathedral.
There were knocks on objects which members noted. Sitters asked if spirit were responsible for the sound could they do it again. While the creaking and knocks on the objects stopped, another different sound started to come from inside the room. This went on for a few seconds. There was no reason for why the unexplained activity was noticed and on asking all the members confirmed having noted the same activity during that time. The medium referred to seeing images of Queen Victoria and a gentleman. The spirit who came to stand in front of her was male and had a lot to do with politics. Information was referred to by the medium about this gentleman who stood by his decision in politics and spoke about his life as someone who felt that he did a lot for social issues in England. As a person he achieved, he thought, a lot in seeing political reform through but in life he did not always have the time to be with his loved ones. In spirit he said he could do this a lot more. In politics one has to be strong and resolute but in life sometimes that choice of attitude does not suit. It is believed that William Ewart Gladstone (29 December 1809 – 19 May 1898) was the male spirit of the séance, he was someone who was a British Liberal politician, he had a career lasting over sixty years and was known for having influenced part of the economy at the time.
The séance was interesting as activity which should not have been seen or heard was noted by members. Activity was seen which when investigated after the séance could not be explained. There were quiet moments in the séance when it seemed as if nothing was to occur but the spirit claims linked two notable individuals who had similar but little known of shared interests. The spirits had birthday anniversaries in common and links to a political interest which, while was not the same, shaped what they did in their lives. The two spirits were known to have contributed to society through their strong aims and interests. The two spirits had a lot to say about how one should have a strong belief in life but it was important to look at how what one person did would influence the lives around them.
