Home circle.
Here is a summary of our home circle.
Home circle held on 17th March 2015.
Frederick Douglass who was (born Frederick Augustus Washington Bailey, c. February 1818 – February 20, 1895) was an African-American social reformer, he was a man of importance to many, he was an orator, a writer, and statesman. The séance sat with members, items and the investigation room checked and prepared. It was a few minutes into the session when the medium started to talk about a male energy. A handsome person who she noted for his height, his appearance and approach to life. The medium had her eyes closed as she linked to the male spirit, a man who worked to liberate people’s attitudes in life. Fred, she referred to him as, education had been something which had been the reason for him to suffer and succeed. The words were said, the activity noted was from the smell which the members referred to as strong and sudden. It was as if a smell which had not been there moments ago did appear for a minutes, it was a musty smell and noted by the séance as the medium talked about a man who had a difficult life. It was that after escaping from slavery, Frederick Douglass who is thought is the spirit of which was talked of in the séance because of the noted links to dates and information, Frederick became a leader of the abolitionist movement, gaining note for his dazzling oratory and incisive antislavery writing. Frederick Douglass stood as a living counter-example to slaveholders’ arguments that slaves lacked the intellectual capacity to function as independent American people in their own right and education was a force which once used against Frederick then became one of his greatest links to why all men were equal. Many people found it hard to believe that such a great orator had been a slave and it was his ability to bridge the gap in understanding which altered history.
In the séance there was a moment, as the medium looked up she said that the spirit had a point to make, a series of taps on the walls around where we were sitting seemed to confirm the statement. The taps were cracking sounds, quite loud and unexplained by any object or persons inside or outside of the séance room. The timing of the sounds was interesting as they appeared to coincide with what happened in the claimed spirit’s intention to say something… it was the date, England and today was said by the male spirit. It is interesting that on 17th of March 2015 was when the séance sat and it was that on the 17th March 1846 that Frederick Douglass did come to England to speak out on slavery. It was his speech entitled International Moral Force Can Destroy Slavery: An Address Delivered in Paisley Scotland, on March 17, 1846 which relates to abolitionist reform, it talks about the means of ridding society from the thought that any restriction which halts progress was correct, his words were about liberation and it is evidence which relates to the date and the subject of which was linked to by the spirit of the male claimed in the séance.
Do not think that a man has no power, if you have no voice you take to the hand and ink, if you do not have a friend on which to rely you take to the road yourself, if you are left with no option then you make an opportunity for yourself. It is the right of every man to live the life he has in front of him. Man, woman and child should live according to their own sense of who they be and who they are going to be. The reported words were said by the medium and the voice was strangely deep and altered to that of the medium’s own voice. Writing was referred to in the séance and in life Frederick Douglass wrote several autobiographies. He described his experiences as a slave in his 1845 autobiography, Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave, which became a bestseller and it was influential in supporting abolition, as did the second, My Bondage and My Freedom (1855). The Civil War was mentioned in the séance but it was through a link, the spirit asked about how civil it was to ignore what you though was right? After the Civil War, Douglass remained a very active campaigner against slavery and he wrote his last autobiography, Life and Times of Frederick Douglass. First published in 1881 and revised in 1892, it was three years before his death, it covered events through and after the Civil War. There were two or three points in the séance when the spirit talked of equal lives and in life Douglass also actively supported women’s suffrage, and held several public offices. It was without his approval, but fact that Frederick Douglass became the first African American nominated for Vice President of the United States as the running mate and Vice Presidential nominee of Victoria Woodhull.
A physical séance is based on the physical activity which is noted. The cool blasts of air which seemed to physically cause member’s to shake at moments in the séance, the blue orbs which were noted by many of the sitters as little bright blue rounded lights and the smells which came and went were all investigated but there was no explained means for why they occurred. The word Abolitionist was mentioned over and over by the medium, then there was the creaking sound which came as the name of Richard III of England was linked to in the séance. The medium talked of Richard III, his face visible, his sense of anger was referred to at something and there being something which was about to be noted about him. There was an odd sense in the séance, the room felt icy cool and this lasted for a few minutes, Richard III (2 October 1452 – 22 August 1485) was King of England from 1483 until his death in 1485 in the Battle of Bosworth Field. The spirit was referred to as showing himself laying down on the ground, getting up and then laying down again.
Richard III was the last King of the house of York. While after the séance there was no other links which could be referred to in that of the checked research, there was an interesting update featured on television, there was a day or so later broadcast a preliminary reference to that of a series of Live television broadcasts which are going to be shown about the reburial of a King, the reburial of Richard III.
As in the sitting of a physical séance, the research which is done to follow up a séance, is comprehensive and has to sometimes include that of the written and what will be happening up to date as often these pieces of information do link up with incidents, events and activity noted in the séance. It is interesting that physical activity which was noted was viewed by the sitters, the members, and that links were seen between what happened and the timing of spirit speech. The links to what was said, what was seen and what was depicted all were noted and as of when this is being written there was no explanation for what was experienced in the séance.
