Hi and Welcome to my Blog!
Objectivity and preparation were both key factors in the run up to the physical seance. The investigation hoped to observe what happened, if anything, during the process. Evidence and responses were a part of the objectives of the investigation and there was an emphasis on how all these aspects were handled.
In a closed ROOM, experienced members and medium sat. Seats were facing each other and all OBJECTS were fully visible during the PHYSICAL seance. The seance was opened and the medium closed her eyes only to begin with, a few minutes later, and she started to talk about the appearances of individuals in spirit that she could note.
UNEXPLAINED SCENTS were depicted as the medium’s references were ongoing. MEANING was attributed to the EVIDENCE of the appearance, and then disappearance of the strong smells, and this came from members who claimed them as individually relevant to family of theirs who had passed. The scents, which lasted a few minutes in time, were discussed and validated as sentimentally meaningful but no physical cause could be found from inside or outside of where the seance was held.
The medium referred to a gentleman in spirit, someone believed from the information to be one Isambard Kingdom Brunel FRS (9 April 1806 – 15 September 1859) an English civil engineer who is considered one of the leading, most prolific and gigantically influential figures of the Industrial Revolution.
Brunel built dockyards, the Great Western Railway (GWR), notable bridges, tunnels, and a series of steamships including the first propeller-driven transatlantic steamship. His designs have revolutionised public transport and modern engineering. It was though that Brunel’s projects were not always successful, they often contained innovative answers to long-standing engineering perplexing problems. During his career, Brunel achieved many engineering firsts and accomplishments, including assisting in the building of the first tunnel under a navigable river (the River Thames). In the seance, the individual in spirit talked about appreciating the beauty of design. He spoke to the seance and said that in building it was important to look at the foundation of thoughts put towards it and to always consider the aspects of functionality and purpose.
MESSAGES and VALIDATIONS came into the seance in the form of conversational and deeply personal messages. At this point in proceedings individuals in spirit, via the medium, spoke to specific sitters about themselves and their desire to talk to the family members and friends.
SUMMARY of the investigation led to sitters being able to neatly analyse and subsequently validate the meaning behind the messages that they had received. PERTINENT and OBJECTIVE, findings of the speeches were claimed as precise and supported not only what had been given to them in terms of evidence but why they felt it to be relevant for them.
