Here is a summary of our home circle.
Home circle held 9th January 2018.
A séance can vary depending on the aim, attendance and process. This Blog is written about a physical séance, that is a particular meeting of experienced members and medium, who will sit and observe in a set time for any unexplained activity that can be visibly, audibly noted or felt.
The séance commenced as members and medium had all taken to their seats in a closed and prepared room. Everything having been checked and objects fully in view to all those who sat, the séance itself began.
Noises could be heard from the beginning of the investigation, as pops and cracks could be heard coming from particular objects that had been laid out in the room. The objects themselves should not have made any sounds, apart from when someone may touch or press on them. No one in the room came into contact with the objects although the sounds could be heard from them. Depicted smells and scents came into members’ awareness and these experiences were spoken of as they were noticed.
The medium talked about a breeze that could be felt on her face and she referred to several individuals in spirit who then proceeded to talk to people known to them in the séance. A little later references were made as for a William Clark Gable (February 1, 1901 – November 16, 1960) an American film actor and military officer, often referred to as a leader of Hollywood. The medium was able to refer to the male in spirit as an actor and a Clark Gable who would have his son mentioned, in life he began his career as a stage actor and appeared as an extra in silent films between 1924 and 1926, and progressed to supporting roles with a few films for Meto-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1931. The next year, he landed his first leading Hollywood role and over the next three decades he became a leading man in more than 60 motion pictures. In the séance the gentleman was keen to talk of his children and their importance. He had a gentle and charismatic persona as described by the medium and as he spoke, she referred to his smart and yet smiling appearance. There was an anniversary that was mentioned for him and alluded to in speech.
Stan Laurel (born Arthur Stanley Jefferson; 16 June 1890 – 23 February 1965) an English comic actor, film director and writer, someone who was part of the comedy duo Laurel and Hardy was believed is the second male spirit talked about. The man was linked and interwoven with comedy. He wanted to talk particularly about props and comedy props. A genius as thought of by many, he stipulated that props were his hands on stage and in films those props were what made him smile. Interestingly in the field of comedy, Stan Laurel was along with his comedy partner Oliver Hardy, someone who appeared in 107 short films, feature films, cameo roles and were known as leaders in slapstick and hilarity.
Anniversaries were important for both the latter male spirits who were referenced. Leaders in film, acting and comedy, it was interesting to note what was linked to as verifiable and personal information. The séance had a mix of unexplained noises, smells and there were moments when several spirits were seen by the medium in quick succession, each able to converse in a conversation with members. Being able to note, question and look into what has happened meant that explanations as for why noises and smells may have been noticed could be considered. There was nothing that should have set off smells, later validated as particular to that of individuals in spirit who spoke and sounds from the objects that had been in full view of members should not have made noises unless touched. Spirits of children were noted at the time that sounds were heard and there was a poignant exchange between spirits and sitters a little after the smells of scents had been depicted. As a séance, explanations into what might have been seen, felt or heard can and should be investigated. Validations of personal information are easier to verify and understand but individual references of experiences can be much harder to research into as for explanation. Effort has been taken to identify as many of the experiences and references from the sat séance as possible.
