A physical séance can be interesting to note and observe. The physical part of the investigation is based on any visible, auditory or notable experience that may then, after questioning, be deemed as explained or unexplained.
The séance began quietly and slowly. The medium was able to demonstrate messages that were given from spirit individuals for sitters. These messages involved information pertaining to particular memories and personal references for both sitter and spirit. Only validated information was noted and it was while this was in progress that there was a visible shift in the appearance of attitudes of the attendees. Laughter and smiles definitely gave the investigation a light-hearted sense and intriguingly as people seemed to relax and display this kind of altered state of emotion, noises started to be noted from different parts of the room.
Although observed and investigated no explanation as for the sounds could be found from anything inside or outside of the room. The medium talked of a male gentleman, theatres as in stages and comedy, it is thought that from the references given the spirit was an Ernest Wiseman, OBE (27 November 1925 – 21 March 1999), known by his stage name Ernie Wise. An English comedian, best known as one half of the comedy duo Morecambe and Wise who became a national institution on British television is well thought of and associated especially to their Christmas specials. In the séance the gentleman talked of his wife, flowers in particular and an appreciation of an ability to watch over loved ones. Speech in the séance reported him to say that getting bogged down in paperwork was not his way and the male spirit spoke of a need to get out and smell the newness of what a possibility could bring, if not for any other reason than it being a good way of blowing out the staleness of old sketches.
The medium spoke of a time in which many spirits were seen. It was as this was noted that a lot of information about individuals came through for the séance and as the medium talked of several spirits being visible in appearance that a cracking sound could be heard in the room.
The séance was able to note messages that could be given to several of the members from spirits that they could later go on to validate. The information appeared pertinent and there were several moments in which noises could be heard that could not be explained. While the unexplained activity was intriguing, it did seem as if it was the content of the messages that had personal interest and relevance for many of the sitters. On this basis the satisfaction of the séance was felt by what was heard and given in terms of evidence of information.
