Home circle.

Here is a summary of our home circle.

Home circle held 28th November 2017.

A séance can be an interesting event to observe but the outcome and analysis is very much dependent upon the objectivity of those who attend.  A physical séance is focused on the visible and auditory activity that may occur and specifically anything that is noticed, is for this blog, noted as investigated or unexplained.

There were many messages that could be noted as having been given to sitters by spirit individuals and this was via the medium.  Information, references and memories about age related incidents could be noted by members as relevant and validated for them.  A cool breeze was noted during the latter part of the messages to sitters and this was noticed by specific members.  There was a distinct cold temperature to the area near the lower legs of the sitter and this was while the medium reported a sighting of spirits near to her.  On investigation there was nothing notable as to identify a reason as for why a coolness should have been felt in that depicted area of the room.

The medium referred to a lady in spirit, her appearance was seen and spoken of and information about her meant that it was thought she was a Josephine Edwina “Hattie” Jacques (7 February 1922 – 6 October 1980) an English comedy actress of screen, stage and on radio.  She was a prolific television and radio performer.  She was a regular of the Carry On films in which she typically played strict, no-nonsense characters but in the séance the medium reported her as having a gentle and calm demeanour.  She spoke of a male gentleman that she would like remembered.

It was in the next few minutes that a male gentleman in spirit was referred to and particularly John Le Mesurier (born John Elton Le Mesurier Halliley; 5 April 1912 – 15 November 1983) an English actor.  Perhaps best remembered for his comedic role as Sergeant Arthur Wilson in the BBC television situation comedy Dad’s Army (1968–77).  A self-confessed “jobbing actor”, it was that Le Mesurier appeared in more than 120 films across a range of genres, normally in smaller supporting parts.  In the séance the male was talked about by the lady in spirit because of her affection for him.  Laughter was that which brought them together and what would make them smile.

Noises were heard from specific objects that had been put out on to a table in the séance.  These noises were heard as from on top of the objects and coincided with information that was being given about sighted spirit individuals.  The spirits were talked of as for what they were doing and as being near to the same objects from which sounds were heard.

It was a busy and active séance.  Notes could be made on individuals in spirit who were seen and because of the messages that were passed to sitters.  References were made for relevant people who were known of by spirit individuals and later, after the séance, research was made into this information.  It appeared as if laughter was an important part of the séance, many messages made members laugh and in the latter experience of audio message, spirits spoke of how significant humour was for them.  It was interesting to note how speech from spirit led to notes on unexplained activity in what was experienced and heard by members during the séance itself.
