These are the notes on what happened at a recent séance. The investigation was held in a closed room, in a prepared setting and with experienced members.
Messages seemed to be intriguing but meaningful evidence for a one to one individual basis. In the séance there was a time when it appeared many messages were passed from spirits to sitters via the medium. In watching and experiencing these indications of people known and often loved in life, it was interesting to see how people used the information to deliberate on if they could validate what was referred to and referenced. Only validated messages can be noted as evidence. Meaning can be difficult to asses as the person themselves or people who have been given the information have to either confirm or refute it. Having asked members about the messages and why those parts were validated by them, this is the explanation that was given. It was in the events known of to them because of their having accomplished them in their early years of childhood and in the fact that no one else should have been aware of them apart from themselves and the spirit person and in the memories that were spoken of that a lot of relevance could be found. Interesting were the responses of those members who received a message and how these moments turned into times for people being able to think about traits of individuals that they had said had not been thought about in quite a while.
I think any investigation has to serve a purpose. It is important to accurately portray what has happened, what was done about it and how notes were made. In the séance it appeared as if there were times when a lot of unexplained activity could be noted. In these moments individuals talked of what was seen, heard and how it made sense for them. Notes could then be made on what occurred there and then. Meaning seemed to be felt in a lot of what was talked about in messages and while the people who gave the references for members differed and what was spoken of was not the same, there did seem to be many loving reminders of how people had lived their lives and what they thought of as important issues for individuals who were in the séance.
The medium spoke of a female spirit, an actress and a notable film in which her photo was an iconic image both for herself as an actress and the setting for the American historical picture. It is thought that from the information given Vivien Leigh (born Vivian Mary Hartley, and also known as Lady Olivier after 1947; 5 November 1913 – 8 July 1967) is the female spirit spoken of in the séance. A British stage and film actress, she won two Academy Awards for Best Actress for her performances as Scarlett O’Hara in Gone with the Wind (1939) the same film noted in the investigation and Blanche DuBois in the film version of A Streetcar Named Desire (1951), a role she had also played on stage in London’s West End in 1949. She also won a Tony Award for her work in the Broadway musical version of Tovarich (1963). There were two references to female faces, one younger and another older. In the séance image was talked about by the spirit and society’s concept of what constituted an appropriate iconic age was referred to as the speech continued. Sometimes she felt as if there was not enough time to do everything in life and this was something that she felt she had learned about and become better at balancing.
Somewhat interesting was the next much talked about unexplained activity. It was on the table where specific objects had been put out for spirits to possibly touch or indicate their presence with that something odd was noticed. There was a distinct time when noises could be heard pertinent to that of something occurring on the table. Even though the table was fully visible and nothing could be seen by members, the medium did report child spirits and younger energies around that same area and chocolate being mentioned by them. It was after the noises and the information that on the table was seen by the members that something was there that had not been before at the start of the séance. It was noticed and noted. It was after the investigation that the table could be looked at further and seen there was evidence of a piece of chocolate that had been a part of what was inside one of the packets that had been put out. The packets were all sealed, unopened and what is more is the table had been fully looked over prior to the séance. During the unexplained noises the table was observed but nothing was seen to explain how the small fragment of chocolate should have appeared there. The evidence was looked at by everyone and thought of as something that should be noted.
Several prominent smells were depicted as the séance was experienced and there were moments when particular voices could be heard. The voices were whispers but as if many people were talking and this was heard clearly by two of the members. Reports were heard of footsteps and this was intriguing because they could be followed by ear along the room, even though no one could be seen to have made them.
A stand out séance because of the unexplained activity and loving messages, there seemed to be a lot of energies who were referred to and opportunity to validate different occasions for individual members. Noted were the inexplicable, intriguing and evidence of interest because they had a significant part in what was felt, heard and sensed in the séance.
