Here is a summary of our home circle.
Home circle held 4th April 2017.
A séance can be an interesting and objective platform to investigate. Objectivity is required in any investigation into such séance activity and it is imperative as a means of qualification where experience based claims of unexplained activity are made.
A séance is often timed, because of this it is easier to note when activity occurs and to perhaps find out what the possible explanation could be. In the séance there were many messages that seemed to come in quick succession. The messages were given to members and were from people known to them who had passed. Validated information was made clear and noted. Interesting were the phrases, the information about particular events that were of interest to the people who were able to receive the messages and how the validations were made. People who had passed were able to give messages by differed means, each message was individual.
The medium spoke about the children in spirit she could see and intriguing were the noises that were heard from objects that had been put on the table. It was after this that the medium spoke of an individual in spirit who was a male, an actor and a name was given which indicated a Peter William “Pete” Postlethwaite, OBE ( 7 February 1946 – 2 January 2011) an English character actor who is best known for acting in films In the Name of the Father (1993), The Usual Suspects (1995), Romeo + Juliet (1996), The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), The Constant Gardener (2005), Inception (2010) and The Town (2010). It was as an actor first and a person who appreciated good comedy that he wanted to be known. Comedians of the black and white film past were mentioned and there was a nostalgic reminiscence of a bygone time from him.
There were several moments when footsteps were heard though no one was seen to have made them. Unexplained smells were distinctive for a time and depicted by several of the members. Orbs were seen and these were unexplained lights noted near to members.
The medium talked of a female, information was given that matched with Doris May Fisher Stokes (6 January 1920 – 8 May 1987), born Doris Sutton, a British spiritualist and professional medium. It was her public performances, television appearances and memoirs that made her a household name in Britain.
It was an interesting séance that had a lot of activity to be seen and despite exploration could not be explained as for why they had occurred. The timing of what was noted did seem poignant as it coincided with messages from loved ones in spirit and from reports of sightings of individual spirits. It was interesting to be a part of the séance because apart from actually noting what occurred, there was time to think about what had happened and think about why.
