Home circle.

Here is a summary of our home circle.

Home circle held 12th July 2016.

A séance of sport, literature, politics and film.

A séance is by its nature unpredictable and unexpected.  One will sit along with members and a medium in a closed investigation area.  This arena is checked, prepared and then observed as for what, if anything, may occur.

Unexplained activity is what can interest the investigation.  Activity in a séance can be seen in many forms, there are those of a visual, audio and sensory nature.  Experiences can be noted as they are claimed, investigation into what, when and why certain activity has been noted can then aid in a determination of if the activity is an unexplained one or not.  Only if after investigation an activity has been deemed unexplained then it will be classed as evidence.

There was a time in the séance when evidence based messages were given, this was from spirits through medium and out to sitters.  The messages had specific links in them that were confirmed as valid for the person who had passed, these were personality references specific to the individual, traits and advice known only to him were directed to the sitter.  There was audio evidence that was noted in unexplained noises that were heard upon the mention of individual names.  Orbs were seen and these were two bright lights, unexplained as for how they were seen, and noticed around members in the séance room.

The medium made a reference to a lady, someone notable for their iconic look and laugh.  In spirit she was insistent that she would like an important individual to be mentioned, she talked about him as a love of hers and said there was a significant anniversary coming up for him very soon.  Links were made to one Joseph Paul DiMaggio (November 25, 1914 – March 8, 1999), who was nicknamed “Joltin’ Joe” and “the Yankee Clipper”, he was an American Major League Baseball centre fielder who played his entire 13-year career for the New York Yankees.  It was interesting that in the séance emphasis was put on him by the female spirit.  Her love for him was evident, the medium said, because she was so eager for his anniversary to be noted and remembered.  He was a loving part of her heart she said and she would like to have him noted.  Research was done after the séance to find out about the spoken of anniversary link but nothing was found for a birth or passing matching to the date of the held séance.  It was not until later that this link was found to his life and career because Joe DiMaggio was perhaps best known for his 56-game hitting streak (May 15 – July 16, 1941), a record that still stands.  It should be acknowledged that as this is being written, the anniversary for the end of his record is one day away.

There was a coolness in the séance room, and this was specific to when the medium referred to one of the messages.  This unexplained coolness lasted for the duration of when the spirit was referred to in the investigation.  The medium spoke of another spirit, she said The Count of Monte Cristo and it was then that she started to speak of a male writer, someone who loved the sense of anonymity that writing had at first given him.  Links were made to a male writer, someone who captured criminality, injustice and social thought of the time, references were given for an individual thought to be Alexandre Dumas (24 July 1802 – 5 December 1870), also known as Alexandre Dumas, père, who was a French writer.  His works have been translated into nearly 100 languages.  He is one of the most widely read French writers.  In the séance, he said through the medium, that it was his sense of being able to depict social scenes that meant many could literally know historical times as they would have been.  Historical importance was one of his main interests in writing and he felt that if people were to become immersed in his literature then they would gain more than a sociological approach to the time, they would have an interest in the historical drama.  Schools had read his work and the spirit linked to his awareness of this fact.  It was as he was being talked about that a large unexplained blue light was seen.  The spirit’s message to the séance was that people, a nation had to have passion and solidarity.  It was after this two further unexplained lights were seen.

A definitive smell was claimed as being noticed in the séance.  It was a smell of cigar, strongly depicted in the vicinity.  It came and went so quickly that it was difficult to explain how it could have been smelt and then there be no trace of it in the séance minutes later.  It was after this that the medium linked in with another male, someone who knew politics all of his life.  References were made to an individual who is felt to be Randolph Frederick Edward Spencer-Churchill MBE (28 May 1911 – 6 June 1968) who was a journalist and a Conservative Member of Parliament (MP) for Preston from 1940 to 1945.  Son of British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill and known for his political life the medium referred to him as knowledgeable.  He asked about his family, spoke of the need for direction in politics and a gentle, kinder approach was felt by him as a person in spirit.  The medium spoke of having seen him in a relaxed white shirt and trousers.  An anniversary was linked to for him and it was that in research noted that Randolph Churchill MBE has an anniversary of passing not long from that of when the séance was held.

It was a while later that comedy was spoken of by the medium.  Black and white images of films were talked about, comedy was important for the spirit the medium talked about.  Links were made to someone who is thought to be Oliver Norvell “Babe” Hardy (born Norvell Hardy) (January 18, 1892 – August 7, 1957) who was an American comic actor famous as one half of Laurel and Hardy, the classic double act that began in the era of silent films.  The word silent had been used against comedy by the medium in the séance and there was a love to be mentioned for this male for his friends and his ability to make young and old laugh.

A séance of interest because of what was seen, heard and at one point smelt.  Unexplained activity seemed to lead members in and inform them about who, in spirit, was with them.  Messages were significant because they could be validated.  Links were poignant and made for anniversary of a birthday for one individual, for two specific passing dates and in one example not for a passing or birthday but just because it was important for a sporting anniversary.  This reference meant that someone’s passion in life could be represented, defined by a date and by another spirit who claimed to be behind them with all their love.
