A physical séance is an interesting event to be a part of, for members of a closed circle it gives an opportunity to witness any visual activity that may occur. The investigation half of the evening is used to look into what, if anything, has happened and to find any possible explanations.
Having been asked what is more important, the possible unexplained activity or the trance information, the answer is both. In an investigation of a physical séance it is of interest to see what happens and if anything occurs, when it does. This is because one can then investigate into if there is a link between activity and reported evidence of a spirit. There are times in a physical séance when a smell may be depicted, something that everyone can define as an experience, one may have an opportunity to ask for activity at a certain minute and if that is then witnessed it can indicate a response to a given question. That as evidence, is useful, as it is something that may be indicative of a conscious, intended action on the part of spirit.
In the séance members watched and waited for a few minutes. There was nothing to report for a while into the investigation. A little later activity did start to occur. It was interesting to see that a few objects had been put out for the children in spirit and as the medium talked of several children the packets of the objects started to crackle and pop as if someone was touching them. The objects themselves were put out in front of all members, no one was touching them to see, but the sounds came from them clearly. It was an interesting few minutes of activity that was to later, at the end of the séance, provide some intriguing results.
There was a clear smell of perfume for a few minutes and it was noted around one sitter. Odd that it was not detected anywhere else in the séance room and that on being mentioned it was a few seconds later not at all noticeable. There was a coolness that came into the séance, it was noted because it was extreme, the icy feel went on for a few minutes. The medium, in trance talked about a spirit of a loved one, the individual was referenced and links were made. One of the sitters acknowledged the information. The medium then went on to give a message from the spirit to the recipient. As far as the investigation, what was of interest was the visible Orb, the unexplained light that was seen next to the member as the message had finished being given to her. A small light it was seen to be beside her after the message had been linked to for her. The light lasted a few seconds.
The medium, in trance, talked about the name of Sid James, it was not him she said but a female who had acted with him. Hattie Jacques is who is thought to have been then described and through her a link was made to the individual she would like mentioned. That of one John Le Mesurier (born John Elton Le Mesurier Halliley; 5 April 1912 – 15 November 1983) he was the husband of Hattie Jacques and was an English actor. The female spirit would have him mentioned she said because it was an important anniversary for him and this would be something noted by her child. It was important for their son. John Le Mesurier does have an anniversary for a birthday not long from that when the séance sat and he is perhaps remembered often for his comedic role as Sergeant Arthur Wilson in the BBC television situation comedy Dad’s Army (1968–77). A self-confessed actor who worked on many jobs, Le Mesurier appeared in more than 120 films across many genres. It seemed apt for a Happy Birthday to be given to him as the message was something that was noted as important. A lot of their life, the female spirit spoke of in the séance, as being in the news and what was reported was not always as it happened for them in their lives. There was a lot of sincere love from the lady to the man.
Funny images and laughter links were given by the medium and next she spoke of a male spirit who knew smiles well. It was an anniversary link that was noted for him as of interest and from the information it is thought that the spirit was of Sir Charles Spencer “Charlie” Chaplin, KBE (16 April 1889 – 25 December 1977) who was an English comic actor, a filmmaker and composer who rose to fame in the silent era. Chaplin came in spirit with a sense of achievement and talked about innovation being what life was about. The spirit spoke of thought and innovation, if you had a thought about something that could improve a life or be a positive influence then you should work on it and put it up before the world. A Happy Birthday link was established as it was the anniversary of his birthday not long before that of when the séance sat. Chaplin became a worldwide icon through his screen persona and is considered one of the most important figures in the history of all film industry. His career spanned more than 75 years.
A séance with two important birthday links as anniversary dates, it was an interesting and informative investigation to research. It was informative because when the séance was concluded, it was noted that around the objects that had been put out for the children there was a lot of what looked to be crumbs and pieces of what the packets had contained. It was, as evidence, something that was extremely interesting and something that could not be explained.
