Home circle.

Here is a summary of our home circle.

Home circle held on 15th September 2015.

Politics meets films.

The physical séance began in a checked and objective setting, members took to their positions in a circular arrangement.

Trance was used by the medium while members watched out for any unexplained notable incidents or activity in the séance.  Trance is a semi conscious to fully unconscious level from which a medium may exhibit certain unexplained actions.  The séance watched as the medium linked to two spirits, one male and a female individual.

Margaret Hilda Thatcher, Baroness Thatcher, LG, OM, PC, FRS (née Roberts, 13 October 1925 to 8 April 2013) is who is believed was the first noted spirit in the séance.  Margerite or Margaret was the only name at first which was given, it was stated by the medium along with an R in the surname.  Margaret Thatcher who was once Margaret Roberts was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1990, she was the Leader of the Conservative Party from 1975 to 1990.  In the séance the medium referred to individual information for the female spirit.  Activity was noticed in the room by members as the spirit was being referred to, the temperature was noted as being extremely cool for a brief time, Orbs were seen and there were noises as if someone was walking around the seats of the séance members.  As the longest-serving British Prime Minister of the 20th century it was interesting that the medium spoke of the spirit’s role in politics and as the only woman to have held the office during difficult times for the country.  A Soviet journalist called Thatcher the “Iron Lady”, a nickname that became associated with her uncompromising politics and leadership style.  As Prime Minister, she implemented policies that became well known, regarded as particular to the lady herself and this was labelled Thatcherism.

In the séance there were reference links to other ideas regarding her profession and in life a research chemist before becoming a barrister, Thatcher was elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Finchley in 1959.  Education was linked with the spirit referring to an education of the heart being far different to that of the mind.  In the séance members observed while the medium talked at length about what the spirit claimed women could do in politics.  The heart could not always rule the head because when one prioritises legislations, governments could fall or rise depending on how things were run.  Majority rules action and the overview of what statistics dictated could paint a different picture to that of the reality of what went on for the cabinet.  People made choices and could be weak willed if they did not have a driving force to see them through.  In life Edward Heath appointed her Secretary of State for Education and Science in his 1970 government.  In 1975, Thatcher defeated Heath in the Conservative Party leadership election to become Leader of the Opposition, she became the first woman to lead a major political party in the United Kingdom.  After winning the 1979 general election Margaret Thatcher became Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.  The spirit was noted to say that people don’t know the minute by minute report of one’s life, updates to the state of things could throw out old ideals and necessitate a need for one’s sense of what leadership requires.

Errol Leslie Thomson Flynn (20 June 1909 to 14 October 1959) was an Australian-American actor.  He was known for his romantic swashbuckler roles in many Hollywood films and it is thought that he was the second spirit noted in the séance.  One of the sitters was adamant in her report of sighting a younger male in front of her with an open white shirt, though she said she only saw the person for a few seconds she was clear in what she thought he looked like in appearance.  Later research has shown that this matches with that of the same spirit who was claimed to speak in the séance.  Interestingly this report of a sighting came before the medium had spoken about who she could see in that of the male spirit or linked to any information pertaining to him.  Orbs were noted by many of the members of the séance.  These coloured lights were seen as small round disks of light and they were commonly reported by all who claimed seeing them as only lasting for a second or two and as being evident around people who were sitting in the séance.  The medium referred to the male spirit and talked about his films, he had a love from boyhood of being the conqueror.  He wanted to be perceived as someone who could save the day because in life so many occasions left you feeling as if you should have done more.  The man talked a lot of his life as a boy, you don’t realise who you are going to become to so many, they adore you, they love you, they think they know every little part of your life and yet they know nothing or very little of you.  The medium said he did want to be seen in spirit, that he had lived his life in front of the camera so much that he had got used to it.

It is of interest that the anniversary date for Margaret Thatcher’s birthday was the 13 October and the anniversary of another notable date this time in that of a passing was on 14 October for Errol Flynn.

In the séance there was activity, information about two individuals that seemed to link to a similar theme and that was of both talking about the public not really knowing who they were.  Although a lot of what was said in the séance was reported speech, the activity which was seen around the dialogue was evident to many of the members.  The séance was one that had almost reflected anniversaries for a birth and passing date.  Two individuals were noted in the séance from very different fields of politics and movie industries but both had a similar message to report.
