This blog is about the exquisite trance and physical sitting which took place, not only answering questions regarding spiritualism but also enhancing and showing physical action. Attended the Northdown trance and physical sitting on the 14th May 2012; this was to be an enchanting circle. For this occasion the question was once more submitted to spirit. It was asked for the possibility of spirit to show physical on a grander scale but moreover to represent and show it to the members in unison. This was proposed quietly from one member just prior to the start of circle. As such, the proceedings sprung forth and as per requirements the room was prepared and settled for sitting.

The objects in the room were the two trumpets and the crystal ball both placed on the table. Under the central location of this was the native American mask. In the corner was placed the abacus. Members came in and took their seats. The heavy curtains were drawn shut and pegged. The door was closed and the with only the red light on, the room was pitched into the beginnings of circle. The opening words were said; next the trance opened up and spirit started to join.

Spirit were eager to demonstrate the value and full meaning of spiritualism. It is with this in mind, I include, a small dictionary definition. The term spiritualism is used frequently, and to sustain the ideology of spirit being and presence, it is also used in circle when referring to the visitations and by spirit when talking about levels of existance.

Spiritualism is used in English to mean either;

1) (Religion) – the belief that people can and do communicate with dead people and the practices and doctrines of people with this belief.

Main article: Spiritualism

2) (Philosophy) – In a philosophical doctrine or religious beliefs emphasising that spirits and souls exist or that all reality is spiritual, not material.

3) (Metaphysics) – various doctrines maintaining that the ultimate reality is spirit or mind.

Main article: Metaphysics

4) (Ethics) – the view that spiritual concerns are more important than this-worldly concerns (a kind of idealism or asceticism that is opposed to secularism).

Main article: Ethics

5) (Epistemology) – another term for mysticism.

Main article: mysticism

6) (Art) – “Abstract Spiritualism”, a term coined by Gerard Tempest, friend of the renowned surrealist Giorgio de Chirico in the 1950s to describe his “landscapes of the mind’s eye.” A recurring theme begun in 1953 and continuing throughout the 1990s.

The actual circle was enraptured by feelings of anticipation, the sense that something was to occur was present. With subdued lighting, the red glow was one of the phsyical objects to be used by spirit, in aid of their answer to the question which was posed by one of the members. As the trance commenced, members could hear a heavy thudding sound, as if on cue the taps also started to radiate on the walls. A very cool breeze started to infultrate the room and effect only the lower legs of the members. Next an intense heat started to flow. It was difficult to judge the true atmosphere due to the fluctuation and tingling sense which had started to touch people’s faces.

It was clear spirit were willing to participate in circle. The orbs started at first. Tiny spots of sparkling blue light. Next, it turned to white streaks, rather like a flash which follows thunder, the spark would streak into the room. No patterns could be noted, yet at times, it did appear as if the coloured lights were in formation.

Following this, which already resonated as an answer for phsyical activity, the clicking echoing sound began to come round the circle. It was about then, spirit started to talk…

A native American collective, a group of gentlemen, were seen. Next, one of the mediums opened their mouth, and voice flew in confirmation; a male voice who wished to state the presense of beings who would like to join… Commemorate and Celebrate. These were his words, next he stated, that he wished the circle good luck in their ventures.

The red light box started to flit about; with the light turning itself high in stage and then lowering itself. It was then that the next spirit started to talk; a male energy broached the topic of gender confusion. This was an answer, he explained to try to talk on a complex topic and discuss the higher self. Capturing many lives, the soul, he said does not always have all the fortune of all perspectives. It was, to them, also a learning curve; to attend and re-attend the Earth through many lives in order to attain knowledge and thus that sometimes the spirits who choose to come back frequenting more gender persuasions than others; with females at times choosing not to come in vast numbers and sometimes males who take on the role of living again; it was thus that sometimes some genders could take on a body and yet still feel the pull of a different gender position, and therefore why sometimes it felt as if things didn’t fit. Following this once more, the circle, heard cracks and knocking.

The spirit who posed an answer, did so not only in an address relating to a subject, it/he also directly answerd a query which one member had talked about a couple of days prior to circle. There was no way for spirit to have known other than spirit awarnes, expressing an eagerness to talk on the subject of higher selfs and talking on spirit and how they exist, he digressed and straight looked to pin pointing the question of genders and how they can cause issues of comfort.

Physical was taking shape, defininitively through three ways:

This was in manipulation of light sources, the red box was being turned up slowly. Each time a spirit was mentioned with specific nature the light would shoot up a fraction.

The orbs were bright, usually only captured by camera, the lights and blue shadows were vibrant enough that they could be seen by two members in unison. Intriguingly, it was as two members were looking at one another… a blue light streaked between them.

The green light: There is a green light which formed on top of the curtain and sometimes shows itself, in this sitting, in response to talk about where this light was coming from and how it could be; it turned up in a new location, above another door and over a chair.

What is key, about these physical occurance, is not the interaction so much from spirit to circle but the fact that they were sources which could be observed by everyone.

The images in circle were precise, with white outlining forms of beings. It was also an enchanting moment when members could see faces outlined on the curtain.

The circle was left feeling a sense of anxiousness. It was then, another spirit adsressed the sitting. Another entity but this time with definitive accent. A Dr, of German descent, he tried his best to translate yet what came into the circle was noted as a mix of the two languages. With a meaning to translate German to English, the words highlighted a link to circle.

The spirit was able to talk about excellent work being done. It was following this, white ropes of silver light could be visualised.

Many messages flowed from spirit. Close, personal memory and then the veil was pulled back further and names came through..

Sir Walter Scott, 1st Baronet (15 August 1771 – 21 September 1832) was a Scottish historical novelist, playwright, and poet, popular throughout much of the world during his time.

It was a small boy, he was seen, walking with a limp and one leg shorter or painful. It was this small boy who walked in front of a black horse rearing. His presence was adjacent to the words Sir Walter Scott, and Perciville. He was surrounded by Scottish, links to the county, with familliar tokens of Nation. Scott was the first English-language author to have a truly international career in his lifetime, with many contemporary readers in Europe, Australia, and North America. His novels and poetry are still read, and many of his works remain classics of both English-language literature and of Scottish literature. Famous titles include Ivanhoe, Rob Roy, The Lady of the Lake, Waverley, The Heart of Midlothian and The Bride of Lammermoor.

As a boy, Sir Walter Scott, was said to have Polio, an illness which left him to have a serious limp. This meant that his walking was limited, his only freedom he expressed as when he was sitting on the back of his horse, this information particularly relates to the little boy who was seen as shown in circle with his horse… it is also related as following research, one of his texts, Ivanhoe surrounds the black horse, who is a disguise for Richard a King, also known as the Lionheart.

In circle, a number of wooden canes were seen, it was not known why. However Sir Walter Scott he depicted his favourite tales on twigs and notably carved them contrary to those who discouraged it and said that those fables were neither for printing or recording. German also seemed to be a theme in circle. At the age of 25 Scott began to write professionally, translating works from German, his first publication being rhymed versions of ballads by Gottfried August Bürger in 1796.

“Honours of Scotland”: These little letters make up something truly profound. It was as the circle progressed, that a scene of pomp and ceremony were seen. In fact it was said by one sitter, this spirit must have loved Royalty. A street party was seen fit with flags and preparation for some kind of Royal event. After research, Sir Walter Scott, the same became a friend to the then King and as an act organised a pagent, spectacular and comprehensive, his pagent for George IV was historically an event depicted in history. It is exciting to see how valuable this memory was to Sir Walter Scott both when it enchanted and now as a memory in spirit.

In fact, Sir Walter Scott, was known for his relations with Scotland. He is noted for having been involved in an intriguing and Romantic tale where he was given permission to hunt for the thought as fantasty and rumoured Hidden Treasure of his nation, in turn, he went to Edinborough Castle and put light to the very true jewels which were thought to be myth. Both friend and subsequent proud herold of Scotland, this figure was wonderful and wonderous. His depiction, and literary accounts surrounded, Royal figures and also Richard who was a king of England, later known as the ‘Lion Heart’, and famous for his exploits in the Third Crusade, although during his 10-year reign he spent only sixth months in England.

Nostradamus (14 or 21 December 1503 – 2 July 1566), usually Latinised to Nostradamus, was a French apothecary and reputed seer who published collections of prophecies that have since become famous worldwide. The name Nostradamus was first seen in circle that evening. Next an image of proclomation. He is best known for his book Les Propheties (The Prophecies), the first edition of which appeared in 1555. Since the publication of this book, which has rarely been out of print since his death, Nostradamus has attracted a following that, along with the popular press, credits him with predicting many major world events.

The theme of poetry may be the link between Sir Walter and Nostradamus, who although not similar, both wrote and used their poetry as a way to express their notion.

Galleleo Galileo Galilei (15 February 1564 – 8 January 1642), was an Italian physicist, mathematician, astronomer, and philosopher who played a major role in the Scientific Revolution. His achievements include improvements to the telescope and consequent astronomical observations and support for Copernicanism. Galileo was seen along with particular instruments and stars. Galileo has been called the “father of modern observational astronomy”, the “father of modern physics”, the “father of science”, and “the Father of Modern Science”.

His contributions to observational astronomy include the telescopic confirmation of the phases of Venus, the discovery of the four largest satellites of Jupiter (named the Galilean moons in his honour), and the observation and analysis of sunspots. Galileo also worked in applied science and theories, technology, inventing an improved military compass and other instruments applied to technology.

Jewish men, dress relating to the faith and a holy book were seen. Galileo’s championing of heliocentrism was controversial within his lifetime, many symbols were seen around him. Galileo later defended his views in Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems, which appeared to attack Pope Urban VIII and thus alienated him and the Jesuits, who had both supported Galileo up until this point. He was tried by the Inquisition, found “vehemently suspect of heresy”, forced to recant, and spent the rest of his life under house arrest. It was while Galileo was under house arrest that he wrote one of his finest works, Two New Sciences. Here he summarized the work he had done some forty years earlier, on the two sciences now called kinematics and strength of materials.

This jewish link was also one which shockingly linked Sir Walter Scott, who later found out, wrote specifically about the Jewish faith and the emancipation of their culture; this theme links to that of Galileo who also wrote an account which caused division on this subject and Benjamin Disraeli who also appeared later that eve, he was a Jewish descent politician notable for his work and literary accounts of the same theme.

Fred Astaire and dancing with Ginger. Both made a show that evening for the circle. There was a feeling that he was putting in an appearanc for a significant reason. So it was checked and Happy Birthday Fred Astaire. It was his birthday, May 14, just a matter of close proximity to the holding of circle. More than this in 1999 … LOS ANGELES CNN article stipulate Fred Astaire was born a century ago this week. So we are now more than a hundred years after the birth of such a wonderful clebrity, he referenced Show Boat which is a film that both he and Ginger Rogers starred alongside Gene Kelly, who also peeped in and although he is heralded from over 100 years ago he is still famous and known; his original name Austerlitz was thought to sound like a battle by is Mother and so Astaire was thought of as their new family name and a true brilliance was born.

Greta Garbo (18 September 1905 – 15 April 1990), born Greta Lovisa Gustafsson, was a Swedish film actress. A fur coat was seen and this is black which surrounded the glamorous lady. Garbo was an international icon during Hollywood’s silent and classic periods. Many of her films were sensational hits, and all but three of her twenty-four Hollywood films were profitable. Garbo was nominated four times for an Academy Award and received an honorary one in 1954 for her “luminous and unforgettable screen performances”. She also won the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actress for both Anna Karenina (1935) and Camille (1936) she is recognisable and seen as a celebrity. In 1999, the American Film Institute ranked Garbo fifth on their list of greatest female stars of all time, after Katharine Hepburn, Bette Davis, Audrey Hepburn, and Ingrid Bergman.

Arthur Scargill, this name was referenced by spirit, and then clairscentience burst through. Smells of Carbolic and perfume evident for members. The circle was permiated with scents.

Benjamin D’Iralie Benjamin Disraeli, 1st Earl of Beaconsfield, KG, PC, FRS, (21 December 1804 – 19 April 1881) was a British Prime Minister, parliamentarian, he was seen clearly with his name in circle, he stood as Conservative statesman and literary figure. He served in government for three decades, twice as Prime Minister of theUnited Kingdom. Although his father had him baptised to Anglicanism at age 12, he was nonetheless Britain’s first and thus far only Prime Minister who was born into a Jewish family—originally from Portugal. He played an instrumental role in the creation of the modern Conservative Party after the Corn Laws schism of 1846. It is intriguing, he stands as so close with affiliation to that of Sir Walter; both writing on religio n, writing at the same age and attending a Glasgow University in such proximity in location.

In this feud, Disraeli was aided by his warm friendship with Queen Victoria, who came to detest Gladstone during the latter’s first premiership in the 1870s. In 1876 Disraeli was raised to the peerage as the Earl of Beaconsfield, capping nearly four decades in the House of Commons. This relationship or friendship with such notable representative of Country is shared by other people who visited circle.

Before and whilst he had a political role Disrael was well known as a literary and social figure, although his novels are not part of the Victorian literary canon, he wrote mainly romances, Sybil and Vivian Grey are perhaps the best-known today and this is shared with the other poet and renouned figure who linked in to circle; he is exceptional among British Prime Ministers for having gained equal social and political renown, he was twice successful as the Glasgow University Conservative Association’s candidate for Rector of the University, holding the post for two full terms between 1871 and 1877.

Arthur Findlay was then seen. Spirit form and a mist was evident. Moving was seen, with a heightened level of activity, it was then his name came through. Along with the themes of Jewish faith, Germany and now Scotland came into clear perspective as a link, as both he and one of the other spirit guests that evening came from this loaction.

Arthur Findlay MBE JP (1883- July 1964) was a writer, accountant, stockbroker and Essex magistrate, as well as a significant figure in the history of the religion of Spiritualism, being a partial founder of the newspaper Psychic News and also a founder of the International Institute for Psychical Research. In his will he left his home, Stansted Hall, to the Spiritualists’ National Union.

It was as he was seen, he mentioned the name of Sloan. It should be mentioned, the spirits of the evening were not opposed to a little fun, as the person who piped up in circle expressed the additional information that Arthur Findlay… “He had a specific Medium advisor.”

Spirit stated a response which included the name of Sloan. Just the surname because as later found out the first name of John was the exact same as the member who spoke. John Sloan was the advisory medium.

Aged 17, he had become interested in the field of comparative religion, something of which his staunchly Christian parents disapproved of – they even burned many of his books on the subject.

In 1913 he was awarded the title of Member of The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for his organisation work for the Red Cross. Once again intriguing is the fact that other mediums could see this spirit and his precice evidence but they related to the other medium who also has family links to Red Cross.

In 1919, he began to believe in the practice of Spiritualism, after an encounter with a medium known as John Sloan. With his interest in various world religions,Findlay questioned the spirits that Sloan conjured, and came to the conclusions that most gods and other deities worshipped in religions were in fact simply spirits of deceased humans. His interest increased, and in 1920 he founded the Glasgow Society for Psychical Research.

Once again, as you can notice, Glasgow is important; spirit indicate themes and precise links because it can help to build an account which provides true and factual evidence.

Transfigueration also took form, spirit, split by looks and appearance settled over one member in circle and hair was seen… facial expression and features specific to that entity.

Spirit also brought through one humerous link; at the begining of circle, a gift was given privately to one of the sitters, it was a small tub of chocolates shaped to be stones. Late on in the circle, a Viking came through, one with the name of Bluetooth. Now, this important figure, who after research turned out to be a leader of Denmark and Sweedon was notable for his use of stones and Rhunes, as he called them, because they helped to predict events. Outstanding that this should come to light after such an apt present was given. Humour shone out, as visits were, made by Sir Harry Seacome and Norman Wisdom both pleased and ready to bring laughter to circle.

Spirit ready to evidence their perception, and also their love to participate through physical activity. Wonderous and courageous their incidents and accounts are paramount to the circle and sitters. It is sometimes important to think about the implications of such evidence, how themes evolve, and why they do. Their love seems to be a key factor and one that highlights their passion albeit through comedy or films. It is a proud moment when this comes through in circle. Arthur Findlay was notable as he was so clear, in 1923 he took part in the Church of Scotland’s enquiry into psychic phenomenon. In the same year, he retired from his profession and purchased Stansted Hall,England, a manor house built in 1871.

More research has shown in 1932, he became a founding member of Psychic News, a Spiritualist newspaper, along with Hannen Swaffer and Maurice Barbanell.

He also helped to found the International Institute for Psychical Research, of which he became the chairman. He also became an honorary member of both significant groups the American Foundations,Edinburgh Psychic College and the honorary president of both the Institute of Psychic Writersand Artists and the Spiritualists’ National Union.

In his will he left Stansted Hall to the Spiritualist National Union and it was used as a college for the progress of Psychic Science and it was named after its patron and owner Arthur Findlay College.

The circle concluded via a collation of Native American figures who walked around the circle and seemed to be followed by the green light. Intriguingly it also highlighted a light seen by another sitter, who saw a tunnel, whereby physical actions were taking place; a little Raccoon also put in an appearance as did some other animals in the form of a white rat and rabbit, the animals were visible and touch of fur was felt.

A cold wet sensation also effected the members in circle that eve. It was an enchanting sitting and; as requested, sensed by all. Pics are of Sir Walter Scott, Nostradamus, Galelio and Benjamin Disraeli.

Pics are taken from online encyclopeadia.

Due to the Bank holiday; the circle blog will recommence following the next session and circle meet, which should be the following Monday. For this blog I would like to address the vocabulary which can be used when talking about spirit. There are particular terms which can be used when talking about events or incidents and these can be significant as they help to convey and express the sense and being of spirit.

The recent moment which spirit used when commemorating the anniversary of the ill fated ship Titanic, is one such event, having experienced an incident so seeped in emotive and sad senses. It is via one such experience that spirit can possibly evidence two of spiritual concepts. These are imprints and bleed throughs. In the situation of an imprint, spirit have been involved in an event so sad or traumatic that emotions and feeling are not always able to dissipate. It is thereby the emotion which leaves a kind of footprint. It is an emotional link to a scene or environment where people have seen or lived through trauma. When someone goes or places themselves in that environment which has been shared by an incident or people who have felt something traumatic, then the emotion can be trapped, and hence if feelings are felt in a similar vein then that is by way of an imprint. Spirit can leave a calling card, a kind of message, by sense and experience. An imprint is only differed from a bleed through by means of location. Usually trapped senses which go on to show events are imprints because they remain in the same area or geography linked location.

Some of you may remember, on the eve of the sinking, Titanic had caused an effect to be felt in the most unusual of ways. It was on this evening that spirit used this moment to show the emotional distress, strain and physical look of what went on that evening. So many astonishing incidents took place by altering the look and establishing the sense of what was occuring. It was through this emotional tie, and as a result of this, that a bleed through was caused. Due to the first emotions which woke up the consequent information and aesthetical incidents spirit were able to portray an account of what went on. It was the bleed through, the emotional draw and sharing of sense, which accomodated the events which spirit wanted to bring through. A bleed through, when used by spirit, is simply a way of using emotion and the weaking of the connection which lets a shift of the rare and suspending event to come through. Thereby, when spirit or a collective group, have experienced an event which is so tied in with emotion or significantly distressing then this can sometimes cause a bleed through to take place, and this emotion can mount. This emotion can then later be experienced by someone/something else.

It is partly due to the Titanic event, which can be used as an example, that some spirit were able to be helped through to the spirit home. The next word, I wanted to talk about, rescuing comes into action here. It is the rescuing which enables a spirit to pass through spirit side. Rather like a connection or visible haven, spirit can see mediums, whereas sometimes it is difficult to visualise other people or places which are not familiar to them. It is not uncommon for some people to not realise that they have passed over, therefore this rescuing comes into action. Especially in the case, when a traumatic incident, has taken place, spirit can be left puzzled. It is at this time that spirit can find it hard to see beyond what they know. Who they know becomes important and they want to clasp on to that. Yet spirit who pass on can be reunited. It is important, yet unknown to some spirit who have just passed over and are not aware of how to exist. During these times, spirit do not always see everything, it is of course easier to belong. This is why some hauntings are established, spirit who do not see spirit from home are befuddled and not able to pass. However the one bridge can be a rescuer. A rescue medium will see both spirit and gently guide others who can’t visualise this home.

Spirit side: it is then easy to take souls on. It is the hardest part when a spirit wants to leave this earth, and that is, occasionally why rescuing occurs.

On the eve of Titanic memorial, many spirits were found to still not have passed, their actions in helping to reinact what had taken place that fateful evening was built up through emotion, surface looks in the room, the blurring of lines and the tilting of the bed. It was the pure cold and emotion which first gripped. The later alterations in the physical appearance in the room only served to enhance the experience. Emotion which carried through was severe and pungent. The priviledge to be involved, even though it was traumatic, showed that by way of a connected medium, spirit could show events that took place and highlight emotions. It was due to the bleed through that spirit could be aided to move on.

The two terms of Imprint and Bleed through; these are usually only separated by means of location. If the experience of shared emotion that spirit want to convey is tied up or trapped to the particular area then that is an imprint; if however it is the emotion and gathered sense which travels through that is more connected to the emotional draw. They are called bleed throughs. A rescue or rescue situation is connected to that of spirit who want to pass over but do not know why or if they have died. Spirit terms of this nature are important because they convert an experience or shared unity.

It is in this blog that I would like to point to the sitting in trance and physical; named Glamorous trance and physical sitting, it was in this circle that two spirits showed up a connection in themselves and it is one which was not known at the time. Therefore, with sincere thanks I would like to here write why these two figures came through to that particular circle and more than this what the connection is between them. Elizabeth Taylor; and Napoleon Bonaparte; and at first you would be hard pressed to realize why these two infamous people share such a personal link. Indeed after the write up for the blog on that day, the connection was not revealed until spirit showed an advert which was flagged up regarding an Elizabeth Taylor program which was coming up on TV the very next evening. It was to be about the jewels of Elizabeth Taylor. At first, only a cursory attention was given, the program looked stunning just as a result of the accessories but beyond that no other clue was known. It was not until the actual television show started and was watched that nothing other than the first item came up in auction; an introduction given as to how it was a flamboyant yet potent token of affection between Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, a jewel that was renowned for its history, a pearl which connected no other than Elizabeth Taylor and Napoleon Bonaparte. This is where the reel of mystery and spiritual integrity begins…

Through this beautiful link it is clear to see that spiritual methods result in not just a haphazard number of spirit visits, identity and events. Spirit have methodology. Choice and decisive aim as to how a circle will progress. This is why I thought it intriguing, not just to note such an important link, and to address this evidence but also to look and delve further into the psyche and reason.

It is through one object, the Peregrina Pearl, that both Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton joined a historical obligation and inheritance to past times, it is also this same object that unites both Liz Taylor and Napoleon Bonaparte. Whilst this is fascinating in itself; being evidence of why the two figures should come together in one sitting, it is also a reason to ask why this jewel was so important. Spiritually it must have been a draw that made wearing it both a joy and historical link. It is a piece of social being but yet moreover personally this reason for joining both figures is what causes so much mystery, because it is this one pearl which brought both Elizabeth Taylor and Napoleon Bonaparte together.

La Peregrina; the Pilgrim or Wanderer Pearl,

Born from setting a slave to freedom, and joining history to the all lavish and fashionable Queens who wore it; the La Peregrina pearl is one of the most famous pearls in the world with a recorded history of nearly 500 years. In appearance it is large, it has a pear type look and is a white nacreous pearl.

From Napoleon to Liz Taylor read the title and tag to this account and this is just as it was shown from spirit with both Elizabeth Taylor and Napoleon standing in that circle. Members who saw both together wondered at why they were present and what the purpose was. Now, having found out, I would like to tell you a little more about it…

The Story of “La Peregrina the Wandering Pearl”

From medieval times to modern day Hollywood

It is a truly fascinating story that begins over 550 years ago and follows this one unique gem stone from medieval times, it has been worn and appreciated by Royal Households and infamous Royal Queens, via famous historical Generals (Bonaparte) and not this fact stands by itself for it finally has an ending; its journey in modern day Hollywood with Elizabeth Taylor. This is a film, a scenario with all the Romance of a Hollywood swooning and mystical tale, it is also a reality which has been shown by spirit.

Indeed Richard Burton considered writing a history on the pearl and its owners, but unfortunately he never did. Elizabeth’s notable showing in a recent circle, has prompted me to write this. For without these connections spirit would not be able to demonstrate physical and internal

This famous historical pearl is called La Peregrina for a reason. The Spanish translation means the “Pilgrim” or “the Wanderer” and it certainly was.

It is one history, both valid and exciting; it is also the connection spirit made that eve in circle…

The pearl was initially found by an African slave, it was on the coast of the isle of Santa Margarita in the Gulf of Panama in the mid-16th century. At the time the Spanish trained men to harvest pearls from oysters on the sea bed and to do this they would risk themselves by holding their breath. Thus the pearl, which was the size of a large egg, was found. Thankfully the person, who found this, earned the first stage of what this pearl was to exhibit. The slave who found this, was given reward and freedom.

The King of Spain
It was initially given to Don Pedro de Temez, the administrator of the Spanish colony inPanama. It should be mentioned, that one of the circle members of that evening, has a surname which is remarkably and astonishing in its similarity to this name. The pearl then entered the Spanish Crown Jewels during the period of rule of King Ferdinand V (1479-1516) and his successor King Charles V (1516-1556).

La Peregrina then changed Royal families and travelled across the English Channel to England, a traditional enemy Spainat this time.
It was sent by the then King of Spain, Philip the 2nd (1527-1598) to be presented to Mary the 1st of England, also known as “Mary Tudor”.

It was actually sent as a love token in anticipation of their marriage in 1554 and there are, incredibly, several portraits of the Queen Mary actually wearing the pearl. Most pictures do show the Queen adorned with this magnificent jewel.

After Queen Mary’s death in 1558 the pearl was returned to Spain, where it remained for over 250 years, it was favoured and cherished by all queen consorts of Spain.

As you will be shown, the pearl, was worn momentous and proud in numerous events in history. Margaret of Austria, Queen of Spain, the wife of Philip III of Spain, wore the pearl for the celebration of the peace treaty between Spain and Englandin 1605. It was then worn by both of the wives of Philip IV (1621-1665), Queen Isabel (Elizabeth) and Queen Mariana (Maria Anna). It could be for this reason it was felt poignant to throw up this connection in circle.

The pearl, it was of course, a piece of history, a token of love. The Pearl continued to inspire the love lives of those who wore it and both Isabel and Philip were involved in lavish exhibits of affections. Isabel was thought to be having a liaison with her gentleman in waiting, the poet Peralta. Peralta was a writer and poet.

On Isabel’s death in 1644, the Pearl was passed to Philips second wife, Mariana of Austria. The pearl was again to play a part in social diversity.

Mariana died on 16 May 1696 at the Palace in Madrid, Spain, and at that moment a total eclipse of the moon reached its maximum and the Spanish capital was completely covered in darkness.

Here spirit events become involved… Strangely, also cloaked in darkness were details of the Pearl and with the death of the unfortunate Mariana, details of the Pearl were also lost and it wasn’t until about 1813, over a hundred years later, that the Pearl reappears in history.

The Bonaparte’s – A connection to the man with name Bonaparte who gave himself a role in circle.
The Peregrina appears back on the scene thanks to non other than Napoleon Bonaparte, and more precisely, his brother, Joseph Bonaparte. This beyond anything answers a question as regarding spirituality and if they decide what should be included and shown in circle.

Spirit did, it seems, intently evidence Elizabeth Taylor and Napoleon Bonaparte due to their unique connection. In 1808, Napoleon invadedSpain, crushed the Spanish and placed Joseph Bonaparte on the Spanish throne. Joseph ruled for 5 years until defeated by the Duke of Wellington in 1813 which meant he had to fleeSpain, he took with him some of the Royal Spanish jewels and the Peregrina Pearl.

After the final fall, Napoleon Bonaparte in 1815, Joseph Bonaparte emigrated from France to theUnited States where he took up permanent residence. He died in Florence in 1844 and passed the Pearl to his nephew Charles Louis Bonaparte.
However, young Charles he came into his own identity and fame. He considered himself as the legitimate claimant to the French throne and spent the majority of his lifetime trying to transform Bonapartism into a political ideology. He led an adventurous lifestyle, bought a castle, attempted coups and eventually he arrived inParis, and began preparations to run for French presidency which he won in 1848. In 1852 after another coup he announced himself the emperor of France as Napoleon III. Once again Napoleon as a name is intriguing, it was shown as being important to Liz Taylor, now we know why.

Before dying in 1873 he sold the Peregrina Pearl to Lord James Hamilton, the 2nd Marquess of Abercorn, who was born in Mayfair, London, on January 21, 1811. During the next few years the pearl fell out of its necklace’s setting on at least two occasions, it was not settled in possession or time. The first time, the pearl got lost in a sofa inWindsor Castle, the second time, during a ball at Buckingham Palace. On both occasions, the pearl was recovered. It remained in the Abercorn family for over a hundred years until it was placed with Sotheby’s for an auction sale in 1969. Elizabeth Taylor, thanks to information shown regarding her personal holding, had the pearl for ten minutes whereupon it fell out of its clasp and was nearly eaten by her pet dog. Here, information was given as to how all three, Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton and the auction man all searched for it only to discover the little dog choking quietly in the corner. Having retrieved it, the jewel had suffered some abrasions and the dog embarrassed and shamed by the whole incident.

Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor (please note Elizabeth Taylor was shown wearing her diamond ring in circle)
Richard Burton purchased the pearl at the Sotheby’s auction in 1969 for $37,000. He gave it to his wife Elizabeth Taylor as a Valentine’s Day gift during their first marriage. At the timeBurton purchased the “La Peregrina” it was suspended as a pendant, shaped along with and to a delicate pearl linked necklace. They decided to have the necklace re-designed using the expertise of Cartier. The end was a piece of pearl, ruby and diamond crusted magnificence.

Elizabeth Taylor wearing the Pearlin the 1969 film Ann of the Thousand days; this film showed off the pearl’s beauty.

It is well known that Richard Burton bought specific jewel items knowing its historical past, and this is certainly the case with La Peregrina, as he commented “It used to belong to the Welsh and I thought it time they got it back”.

Elizabethtook hints and cues on how she wanted the necklace set from one of the paintings of Mary, above, who was wearing it as a choker. In the picture you can see an almost identical resemblance. Richard Burton considered bidding on a four-hundred year old painting with the pearl adorning Queen Mary, but instead helped the National Art Collections Fund acquire it; as a pearl’s former setting can be seen in publicity shots for Elizabeth’s cameo in the 1969 film, Anne of the Thousand Days, and the new, more elaborate setting in the films Divorce His—Divorce Hers and A Little Night Music.

So what of the Pearlnow? After Elizabeth Taylor’s death in March her jewels were to be shown on a world tour and then sold at auction by Christies in December 2011. This was the program which was shown on TV.

I think you will agree, spirit have not only evidenced, something of a link between the two Elizabeth Taylor and Napoleon Bonaparte. There is also some finer link which shows integrity and historical value. Spirit can evidence and highlight events through their actions.

Thank you to spiritual awareness, and to the fact they warmed and chose to divulge this information. Pics are of Philip and Mary (seen wearing the necklace), King Philip the second of Spain, seen wearing the pearl, Mary the first of England once again wearing the pearl, Napoleon Bonaparte who was instrumental in bringing the pearl to survival and Elizabeth Taylor; to who we say thank you.

Physical sitting is a trusted and special assembly of heart and spirit. It is when we sit for a circle that we can ask and examine spiritual evidence. Attended the Northdown trance and physical sitting on the 23rd April 2012. It is for this circle, the question was put forward silently, and just prior to the arranged sitting spirit was asked about ectoplasms; its nature and reasons. This was an important question and integral to spiritualism. It is with this form of material physical that spirit are seen at times to materialise. It is also as a result of ectoplasms that spirit can form a bridge between the spirit world and that of our own.

The circle was started in darkness; the only source of light coming from the red box. The opening words were stated and with members assembled and the required needed objects checked, the sitting was opened. It was in the first few minutes that physical began. For it is when this first part took place that an odd sensation rushed round circle, that of small running feet touching and brushing past the legs of the gathered sitters. It was extraordinary. On looking out, one of the mediums noticed, a small pair of eyes blinking in the darkness. It was that of a small dog. A dachshund. Long and lithe in its body, it was light brown. The circle was told of this and then almost two minutes later a second dog, a bright Westie with the name Mergatroid, popped up and wished to be remembered for agility. At once one of the members claimed her and the sitting continued…

It came through information and sighting, a spirit, known to a member who claimed the dachshund and the information pertaining to it.

A healing energy was sent to one of the member’s relatives, and it was doing this that a picture of a man and his hooded presence confirmed that spirit were near, next voice was given to the circle. One of the medium’s spoke, but this male energy; he was clear and with his voice coming from the medium said that “Brother your wishes have been received and we endeavour to bring this soul back to its natural elements of water and health.” It was after this was said, the sitter in question, who knew that the ill health was suffered by someone who loved the Sea felt the energy and healing. Taps were heard around the room as the healing was sent. Another medium, first sat up, then words flew from their mouth, “Wish to be known as Great Bear” He said and then “There is much in the state which has left people unhappy, and grudging, in their acceptance of ruling and law; it is we feel a sad state that has left so much apathy and unhappiness.” The spirit was eager to address everyone. “We are aware, and we try to help with showing how much can be learnt from the Spirit World.” Thanking for the occasion to speak he went on to say that people needed patience for the evolution which was taking place and that things may not be easy but that learning as joy would come forward.

The room felt cold. Whilst this was taking place it is also important to write that certain members felt a notable breeze. Tickling sensations could also be felt on the face. It was around this time that a funny light substance was also seen forming in the room. It was around one member, who was sitting to one side of the room, first it could all be shown as just mist then it started to spark. The little lights would flash and it was only then colours were seen. This was being taken note of; because this was the relative link to the question which had been asked. To find out about ectoplasms it was being shown by spirit, that this was not just one method nor was it one substance or colours. It was next that another spirit spoke, from the corner of the room; a William addressed the circle: We would like to talk to you about the progression of spirit, he said, it is long thought that spirit just evolves, he took breath and talked on, it is a process and just as the spirit before said (indicating the first spirit to speak to circle) we acknowledge sadness and the need to find oneself. It is probably arguably the most difficult phase in an individual’s cycle to find their true being. Spirit seek to portray the levels of transience, progression and being. There is a need for negative as well as joyfulness as this helps learning. To elaborate, we feel, as if it is necessary for the spectrum to be shown. You feel, just as we do spirit side the wave of existence and all the mood and relative emotion it delivers. The spirit was pleased to speak, and on thanking the circle, retired. It was then, figures were seen, amongst an experience of shaking in the chairs…

It was clear at first the physical was starting to shape; figures were seen. It was one in particular that was wearing a moustache and recognisable facial expression, he stood behind one of the chairs, and on being seen it became clear that this was one Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The mist in the room was hazy. It was a result that the circle looked cloudy and there were parts of the room where although the red light reached there was a luminous glow of a different kind.

The sitters were aware of shadows. These additional sitters in the room which should not have been counted as actual bodies. Their entities manifested through light. Next, it was the lady and figure of her, which came through. Taps and bumps were cracking along the perimeters of the circle. The sitter on that side of the circle asked if something else could happen; it was as this was stated, a female voice came out and exclaimed “the spirit is willing but without the physical body we put in double the effort.” After stating this once more she disappeared. The room was cold; but there was waves of temperature which seemed to radiate according to who was present. For instance, next as some relative drew close, the temperature would plummet or it would feel as if the sitter was bathing in water.

A sitter on the other facing side of the room spoke out as a spirit figure of Navy and a sailor walked in. His clothes betrayed the fact he was from a while ago and served in a Royal navy with clothes suiting his roles. Then, a Scottish theme came ringing through to circle. First with the name of Spirit Union, then Helen, the female shape came through as present and seen in circle. Her outline was clear with clothing and then indicated the tall slim presence of Albert. Albert Stewart, who after research and information gathered, was one control spiritual being of Helen Duncan. The being was shown as standing behind one of the other sitters, just as this was highlighted a ringing echo and sound came from the wall. The sense of adrenalin rose, a little girl figure was also seen. Beautiful dress and polite, shyly she ran round the central table. Helen Duncan, herself mentioned, John (who was shown to be like son) a Spirit Union and the nameDumfries. It is believed this indication referenced John, who was a son-in-law and who was involved in spiritualism and circle, also research has shown that the Psychic Union was the centre which gave a diploma to Mrs. Duncan and thatDumfries appears to be the birthplace of one of her children. Isabella was also shown, the name of the child, and an event pertaining to her childhood. Helen Duncan herself was happy and keen for physical, her demonstration making evident the fact that Albert and a little girl were with her through spirit; it was during the WWII that Helen was in demand for spirit contacts, this was from relatives who were inquiring after the health of loved ones, serving members of the army and war front who wanted to relay information, pertaining to the Royal navy image which spirit showed one of the sitters; one of the sittings took place in a private house in the homeport of Britain’s Navy fleet; the name Portsmouth was said in circle and this is the location of the Royal Naval Fleet. On January 19 in 1944, a sitting was held in a risky setting, it was the German Luftwaffe’s intention to destroyPortsmouth, but there was also prominent danger in the fact that even in that special circle there was corruption in the form of a masked sitter. Once more it must be noted that here, at this point spirit were endeavouring, to answer the question set at the start of circle in regards to ectoplasmatic matter. As it was at this particular séance, that Helen Duncan, was interrupted and a plain clothes policeman tried to make a grab for the ectoplasm which spirit had produced. It was fortunate that spirit were too quick for the hands and it was taken back behind the veil.

Is this all the information, as in regards to the query, which had been made by the sitter, it was clear that spirit wanted to indicate not only the incident which could highlight ectoplasm and the importance of this presence but yet still they went further to explain. The other medium who was sat in his seat kept talking of this sailor. He was referencing and indication the man who was seen by Helen in 1943 at a séance where upon a sighting of him and his connected sinking on HMS Barham would lead to so much controversy in spiritualism. At the heart, something which is not known and was not known by certain members of the circle, was ectoplasms. It was only uncovered after looking into, that this ectoplasms, was the cause of an investigation and further query into the case that this substance was proved

Further research shows, that Winston Churchill, this Sir Churchill was also staunch in his belief that spiritualism was prudent and vital in its existence. His support of Helen Duncan only further laid claim to his own psychic experience. He explained in an autobiographical account that he was ” guided by some form of mental planchette (a Spiritualist tool) to the only house in a 30 mile radius that was sympathetic to the British cause”. If he had knocked on the back door of any other house he would have been arrested and returned to the Boer commanders to be shot as an escaping prisoner of war. He was a part of the Druids. Prior to this he had been ordained as a member of Grand Ancient order of Druid. Apparently there were many times where Sir Winston Churchill’s psychic ability saved him.

Churchill was exceeding in his angry sense of injustice, when the Helen Duncan case began. He penned an irate ministerial note to the Home Secretary, ” Give me a report of the 1735 Witchcraft Act. What was the cost of a trial to the State in which the Recorder (junior magistrate) was kept busy with all this obsolete tomfoolery to the detriment of the necessary work in the courts?” But his own civil servants were over-ridden through the all -powerful intelligence community. D-Day was coming and their levels of paranoia was too much. It had reached an all time level and even a Prime Minister’s anger was to be set aside. Helen Duncan, mother of nine and part time bleach factory employee was considered a risk and they wanted her out of the way when the Allies struck. Her case was a transparent conspiracy to frame her ‘ in the interests of national security’

Mary Martin, this name was mentioned by Helen, and it is by this connective link that we can say Mary is Helen Duncan’s granddaughter. Mary lives in Edinburgh.

As exclaimed, spirit endeavoured to do their best, in their effort to answer the circle member’s query. In relation to ectoplasmatic physical, they not only evidenced an account through Helen Duncan’s presence and the sighting of the sailor séance through several members that evening, but also helped to highlight evidence which was given by Hannen Swaffer, someone who is particularly special in spiritualism, and someone who gave evidence and particular answers in Helen Duncan’s case and now known also regarded his information pertinent as sighting ectomplasms. This next information not only answers but intriguingly sites how ectoplasms is used:

Hannen Swaffer, This man not only was relied on to give answers at Helen’s trial but also helps to show ectoplasm and its form.

These were his words:
In the fifth year of our war for freedom! – Orthodoxy was to arrest Helen Duncan, our best materialising medium, after submitting her to a physical examination that was indecent, refuse her a doctor until morning, ill with diabetes and suffering with shock though she was – and to invoke the Witchcraft Act of 1735.

Orthodoxy was back to broomsticks!

While she was giving a séance at Portsmouth, a whistle was blown. Policemen rushed into the room, took part in a sort of Rugby scrum, and, because they could not find the white “sheet “- that is what they called the ectoplasm the medium had exuded – were childish enough to believe that she had swallowed it, or else that the sitters, who demanded in vain that they should be searched, had secreted it on their persons.

Baron Schrenck-Notzing, who spent many years on psychical research, had analysed ectoplasm. Dr. W. J. Crawford, of Queen’s University, Belfast, had weighed it, traced its flow – and even certified that one medium, while exuding it, lost 54 lbs. of weight!

Thousands of Spiritualists all over the globe knew it to be living matter, out of which they had seen built up solid spirit forms that walked about the room, talked with their earth relatives, had been photographed – Sir William Crookes took lots of photographs of a materialised “Katie King” which a member of his family
destroyed after his funeral, although some of the pictures still survive – and played musical instruments.

But the Portsmouth police said it was a sheet! More, the Public Prosecutor’s department bought cheese-cloth – and just because Harry Price, who had apparently forgotten that he once brought me a piece of ectoplasm which he said was cut from Mrs. Duncan’s body and which he had analysed, declared that her materialisations were cheese-cloth which she had regurgitated.

Well, I told the Court that for over 20 years I had investigated psychic phenomena of every kind and type, and in many countries, and that the purpose of my investigation was: “It is my duty to tell people the truth about the survival of their beloved dead.” Then, saying how I had sat perhaps half a dozen times with Mrs. Duncan under test conditions, I explained to legal high-ups who thought ectoplasm was a piece of cheesecloth that it was exuded from mediums through the mucous membranes, the solar plexus, the ears and the nostrils, that it appeared to be a living substance, that I had seen it perhaps 50 times and that, in the case of Helen Duncan, it resembled “living snow.”

In the circle several members felt a tugging at their ears. Their was a sense of a tie or stringy pull and one member’s earrings were pulled about to the point they were swinging.

Hannen Swaffer went on to say;The point of this was that, between Portsmouth and the Old Bailey, we had made a rigid test of Helen Duncan’s powers and that the results were so extraordinary that C. B. Loseby, who was present, said at the end, “I am so impressed that I will tell the Court I am willing to allow the medium to demonstrate her powers in open court, and in broad daylight.”

Yet the Recorder decided that all evidence about this test must be ruled out “since it would be under a cloud.”

Before this test sitting, two women took Mrs. Duncan into a room, stripped her stark naked, dressed her only in a loose black garment – the reason for this was that the ectoplasm was white – and then brought her, in our sight, into the séance room. There she went into a trance in a red light in which we could see everything that happened.

Albert, her guide, began: “Something has been said about a sheet. I will show it to you.” Immediately we saw a large mass of ectoplasm, probably eight feet long and six feet wide. This was what the police had called a sheet!

Then, to prove the genuineness of the ectoplasm, the medium moved half across the room, the living substance becoming a sort of rope which lengthened as she moved further away.

Yet all this was ruled out, as, later, was every scrap of evidence sworn to by witnesses who had sat with Mrs. Duncan all over the country. Nor was she allowed to give a test in court. “That would be in the nature of a trial by ordeal,” said the Recorder.

“Could the ectoplasm be mistaken for butter-muslin?” Loseby asked me.

“Anyone who described it as butter-muslin would be a child,” I replied. “Besides, under red light, butter-muslin would turn yellow or pink. How could a red light make that kind of material take on a living whiteness?

Then I had to explain to a Recorder ignorant of ectoplasm, how it reacted to light, how the actinic qualities of light which retard photographic processes also affect ectoplasm. More, I had to tell how, the first time I sat with Mrs. Duncan, someone foolishly shone a light on the medium with the result that the séance had to be stopped and that then we discovered the medium was bleeding furiously at the nose.

I also produced a document signed by four magicians after I had taken them along to test Mrs. Duncan They had tied her up with 40 yards of sash-cord, they said in their agreed statement, handcuffed her, and tied her two thumbs so close together with thick thread that it cut into the flesh. Although it had taken eight minutes for Will Goldston, a professional magician, to tie
up the medium, her guide freed her from the cord, the thread and the handcuffs in three minutes.

As a dramatic critic I ridiculed, in the witness-box, the idea that Mrs. Duncan could impersonate Albert, her guide.

Yet, in his summing-up, the only thing said by the Recorder about my evidence was: “All that Mr. Swaffer said was to contradict some of the others, not altogether to be wondered at.”

I did not contradict any of the others, for I was talking of séances at which they had not been present, and they were talking of sittings which I had not attended.

Besides, the Recorder seemed to have forgotten that I so smashed the case for the cheese-cloth theory that never again, after I left the box, was it held up or referred to.

I remembered how I could have killed the regurgitation theory, had the evidence been allowed, by producing a doctor’s certificate that Mrs. Duncan had a normal stomach and so could not regurgitate, and also X-Ray photographs proving that her stomach was normal. These, I held up in vain. These were not “evidence.”

In consequence, Morrison went so far as to say – and this was only a few weeks after he denied that we suffered any – that he understood our grievances, and that it should not be found impossible, when Parliament had time, to get through a non-controversial Bill guaranteeing Spiritualists their religious
freedom.

It was during this appearance of Albert, the little girl and Helen Duncan; it was here that a message came via Albert that the circle would be given a first account experience. It was with joy and excitement that circle was witness to the next step, a spirit body, which is believed relying on ectoplams came through as a figure. Stooped over it was a female and she stood on one side of the table with position to be roughly what is thought as normal in height and posture. The being was said to be Margaret. It was seen by all members facing the figure, some say it was a grey colour and others a light outline. It was also recognisable as Margaret as the lady some in the circle had seen in life knew her to have a stoop. There was also clairscentience as this smell permiated around the room.

Mickey flashed in. A little boy with sense of significant laughter. He strode up to one of the sitters. Then Ernest Hemingway, the name was only familliar. Yet it is only after looking into this that it can be seen he was a regular at Stein’s salon, Hemingway met influential painters such as Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, and Juan Gris. Pablo Picasso has also made an appearance once previous in circle.

Ernest Miller Hemingway (July 21, 1899 – July 2, 1961) was an American author and journalist. His economical and understated style had a strong influence on 20th-century fiction, while his life of adventure and his public image influenced later generations. Hemingway produced most of his work between the mid-1920s and the mid-1950s, and won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1954. He published seven novels, six short story collections and two non-fiction works. Three novels, four collections of short stories and three non-fiction works were published posthumously. Many of these are considered classics of American literature.

This theme of army and particular front combat is one which links Hemingway with Tony Hart who also made an appearance that evening. Hemingway was raised in Oak Park, Illinois. After high school he reported for a few months for The Kansas City Star, before leaving for the Italian front to enlist with the World War I ambulance drivers. In 1918, he was seriously wounded and returned home. His wartime experiences formed the basis for his novel A Farewell to Arms. In 1922, he married Hadley Richardson, the first of his four wives. The couple moved to Paris, where he worked as a foreign correspondent, and fell under the influence of the modernist writers and artists of the 1920s “Lost Generation” expatriate community. The Sun Also Rises, Hemingway’s first novel, was published in 1926.

Ernest was also seen through the sitting with planes and bombings. The name Luxembour g was flashed by spirit. This evidenced his link both to the place, Luxembourg and his close love of it personally.

After his 1927 divorce from Hadley Richardson, Hemingway married Pauline Pfeiffer. They divorced after he returned from the Spanish Civil War where he had acted as a journalist, and after which he wrote For Whom the Bell Tolls. Martha Gellhorn became his third wife in 1940. They separated when he met Mary Welsh in London during World War II; during which he was present at the Normandy Landings and liberation of Paris.

The Charge of the Light Brigade, this not only was shown by spirit but connects the individuals, Tony Hart, Norman Wisdom, Arthur C. Clarke and Ernest Hemingway. These people are not likely to be connected but through research it can be seen they all had close connection with war; not only this but the word Crimson Tide was shown both to reference the blood, loss of life, and the front stage reporting that was done by all these individuals. The Charge of the Light Brigade, was a charge of British cavalry led by Lord Cardigan against Russian forces during the Battle of Balaclava on 25 October 1854 in the Crimean Warr. The charge was the result of a miscommunication in such a way that the brigade attempted a much more difficult objective than intended by the overall commander Lord Raglan. Blame for the miscommunication has remained controversial, as the original order itself was vague. The charge produced no decisive gains and resulted in very high casualties, and is best remembered as the subject of the poem “The Charge of the Light Brigade” by Alfred, Lord Tennyson, whose lines emphasize the valour of the cavalry in carrying out their orders, even “tho’ the soldier knew / Some one had blunder’d”.

Joyce Irene Grenfell Born in London, this Joyce was very active that evening. Seen along with Albert, when her name was mentioned; the red light and taps could be seen and heard. Joyce was the daughter of architect Paul Phipps (1880–1953), (the grandson of Charles Paul Phipps and a second cousin of Ruth Draper), and an eccentric American mother, Nora Langhorne (1889–1955), the daughter of Chiswell Langhorne, an American railroad millionaire. Nancy Astor, née Nancy Langhorne, was her mother’s sister and Grenfell often visited her at Astor’s home, Cliveden.

Joyce Phipps grew up around money and privilege. She had a Londonchildhood and considered herself a “townie”. Joyce attended the Francis Holland School in Central London, and the Christian Science School, Clearview, in South Norwood, and then she was “finished” inParis where she attended Mlle. Ozanne’s finishing school at the age of 17.

It was not only this, but the fact that Norman Wisdom, made a show in circle, he drew her close, in 1927, she met Reginald Pascoe Grenfell (1903–1993); they were married two years later at St. Margaret’s, Westminster; they remained married for 50 years (until her death).

She made her stage debut in 1939 in the Little Revue. In 1942 she wrote what became her signature song, “I’m Going to See You Today.”

During World War II, Grenfell toured North Africa, Southern Italy, the Middle East and Indiawith her pianist Viola Tunnard performing for British troops. Viola was also mentioned in circle. In 1989, her wartime journals were published under the title The Time of My Life: Entertaining the Troops. Her singing and comedic talents on stage led to offers to appear in motion picture comedies. Although she performed in a number of films, she continued with her musical recording career, producing a number of humorous albums as well as books; she also connects in spirit with the war. Also in her experience s.

Her connection to comedy is important. As a writer at the BBC during and just after the war, she collaborated with Stephen Potter in writing the “How” series of 30 satirical programmes from How to Talk to Children to How to Listen. During the 1950s she made her name as a sidekick to such comedy greats as Alastair Sim and Margaret Rutherford in films such as The Happiest Days of Your Life (1950) and the St Trinian’s series. She was also a member of the influential Pilkington Committee on Broadcasting from 1960 to 1962. Her fame reached as far as the U.S.A. and she appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show alongside Elvis Presley.

Grenfell is now best remembered for her one-woman shows and monologues, in which she invented roles including a harassed nursery teacher (“George – don’t do that”). She gained additional popularity as a result of her frequent appearances on the BBC’s classical music quiz show, Face the Music. Although her humour appeared light and frilly on the surface, there was always a surprisingly dark undertone.

Much of the music for Grenfell’s revues and shows was the result of a collaboration with the composers and pianists Richard Addinsell and William Blezard. From 1954 to 1974, Blezard composed Grenfell’s songs and spoof operettas such as Freda and Eric. They performed on stage and television all overBritain, America and Australia.

Grenfell was a member of the Church of Christ, Scientist, a religious organisation based on Christianity and spiritual healing. This was not known, as all the other information, her draw on funny moments seemed to work with the energy of Norman Wisdom and Mickey.

The Isle of Man, was then seen, then up against Norman Wisdom. His form was seen but with him tripping and nearly falling in one of the sitter’s laps. It made us laugh. His wave and the name Pitkin connected him to a show he once performed in. His parting words drew a smile and grin to the circle; evidential that spirit keeps its personality even after passing.

Sir Harry Donald Secombe, CBE (8 September 1921 – 11 April 2001), this was the next comedy individual. He was a Welsh entertainer with a talent for comedy and a noted fine tenor singing voice. He is best known for playing Neddie Seagoon, the central character in the BBC radio comedy series The Goon Show (1951–60). He also appeared in musicals and, in his later years, was a prominent presenter of television shows incorporating hymns and other devotional songs. Now, intriguingly, the only link one member knew and saw was Oliver the name and then more… this phrase can I have some more? It is now known this same man was in the film Oliver and notable for this scene.

“To Know him was to love him.” Princess Margaret and the Duke of Kent all visited his funeral.

Norman Antony “Tony” Hart (15 October 1925 – 18 January 2009) was an English artist and children’s television presenter. He was next to flash, a face seen in circle, and the name. He was famous for television shows such as Vision On, Playbox, Take Hart and Hartbeat. Tetorial Army was his connective link to the fighting, which so much of the sitting threw up, and his link to Blue Peter; not only as an artistic logo on TV but as the evidential Naval connection.

Sir Arthur Charles Clarke, CBE, FRAS, Sri Lankabhimanya, (16 December 1917 – 19 March 2008) was a British science fiction author, inventor, and futurist, famous for his short stories and novels, among them 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), and as a host and commentator in the British television series Mysterious World. He came through towards the end of circle. For many years, Robert A. Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, and Clarke were known as the “Big Three” of science fiction.

Clarke served in the Royal Air Force as a radar instructor and technician from 1941–1946. He proposed a satellite communication system in 1945 which won him the Franklin Institute Stuart Ballantine Gold Medal in 1963. He was the chairman of the British Interplanetary Society from 1947–1950 and again in 1953. Once again he had seen fighting. Also, it is known that this might be a humerous link, from spirit but an alien head was seen in circle. Not only does it reference the science element but also comedy. The circle seemed to be shown a link from spirit, one that instigated the common pursuit.

Clarke emigrated to Sri Lanka in 1956 largely to pursue his interest in scuba diving: that year, he discovered the underwater ruins of the ancient Koneswaram temple in Trincomalee. He lived in Sri Lanka until his death. He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1998, and was awarded Sri Lanka’s highest civil honour, Sri Lankabhimanya, in 2005.

It was a most engaging and wonderful circle. The persons present were keen to talk of literary and war connection. The ectoplasms questioning and link was well taken care of by spirit. Not only were we treated to seeing a form with this substance, this counted for the practical but also we were finding out info as to how it can be shown in substance and colour. The theme of the Royal Navy and Airforce threw up connections of which no one was aware. It was reliable and reassuring to know how influential and evidential spiit were being.

It should also be noted that Peter O’Tool was mentioned by spirit.

The circle was drawn down to a finish as the energy drew back. It was much later than thought.

It was exceptional and touching to see Helen Duncan take such an active role.

This was the Glamorous trance and physical sitting; it was an evening which proved beyond fact the love and humour which exists and was exhibited by spirit. The evening was one which answered questions and also held a circle which put together the hand of people and spirit.

Attended the Northdown trance and physical circle on the 16th April 2012; this was the first sitting after the Bank Holiday and it was one well attended and anticipatory. The room was presented with regulations for physical all set, in darkened setting apart from the switching of the red light the circle commenced.

On this occasion, the question was put to the spirit regarding a new type of physical, and if this was possible. It was silently asked by one member; this was then received and answered as within the first initial moment in circle progress, an object was put into the room and started to move through hands of spirit. The vase filled with buds and stems had been put on the table amongst the usual objects of crystal ball and two trumpets; the later being essential for physical progress. However this time the addition of the vase proved to work as the new object and hence physical started to activate. With several of the members watching the plants inside the container started to flit up and down.

A whole host of other relatives; came to say hello. Spirit information pertaining to loved ones came flowing in through one chosen spirit; Jonathon. He was clear and precisely indicated the name and then the required message. It became obvious early on that this was going to be an essential part of the circle.

Doris May Fisher Stokes, Just as this preliminary spirit started to shift, the indication was made by him that Doris was there. Doris May Fisher Stokes, was a known friend of one of the sitters and so visited; Doris (January 6, 1920 – May 8, 1987), born Doris Sutton, was a British spiritualist and psychic medium. Her presence, was felt by two of the mediums. The enery in the room shot up. The mist was also clear.

Doris Stokes was recognised as a practising clairaudient medium by the Spiritualists’ National Union in 1949. Her spirit showed only her face and hair but it was with this that the name was taken. It added a light-hearted and loving sense to the circle.

As proceeding took shape, a spiritual nurse, was seen. After research it can be stated. During a break in 1962, Doris herself gave up her work as a medium and retrained as a psychiatric nurse, but had to retire five years later following an attack by a patient. She returned to her psychic work and in 1975 became the resident medium at the Spiritualist Association of Great Britain. Following this she became a physical aid for numerous spirit phenomenon and words. It was with a smile and curiousity that she stood in circle.

Leslie Flint (1911–1994)was next told of by spirit. First, one of the other sitters gasped as she saw a boy. The person had black hair and with a cheeky grin indicated Mickey. It was afterward that Jonathon interceded to speak to circle again. With a deep voice he said Leslie Flint is here. Leslie was a British medium who is credited as having been one of the last psychics to use direct-voice mediumship. He has been described as the most renowned psychic of the 20th century.

Flint was born in London in 1911 and reached the peak of his fame from the 1930s to the 1960s. He was famous for contacting the spirits of dead celebrities, and would often record his sessions. He claimed his familiar, Mickey, was the ghost of a child who had been killed in 1910. Flint claimed to have seen his first spirit at the age of seven when his dead uncle appeared to him in his home. He conducted his first séance at the age of 17. It was the child Mickey who was seen in circle, and the instrumental Leslie who also made an appearance.

In his early life, Mr. LFlint worked in as a cinema usher and a cemetery gardener. Flint was a conscientious objector, serving in a non-military capacity in World War II. He never charged for his services as a medium.

At this point it is right to note that so many of the images seen through circle related to the period just prior to WWII. This was during the 1940s and could be an explanation for why these spirit were linked.

The first public séance performed byFlint was in 1955, just after he formed an association called the Temple of Light.

Flint was an avid fan of Rudolph Valentino and acquired the only known copy of footage from The Young Rajah. When taking part in séances with Flint, participants would report hearing the voices of the dead surrounding them in the room.Flint would perform bound and gagged in an attempt to prove that he was not throwing his voice. He claimed that he was able to conjure ectoplasm from which he could then reconstruct vocal cords. However, Flint always insisted on performing in the dark, so séance-goers were unable to see him during the performances. He would sometimes even perform in a cupboard. This was to ensure that he was capable of sitting in an enclosed space and spirit were wholly responsible for activity. This is also why so many of the spirit who visit circle ask us where is the cupboard, as they fully expect one to be there.

A strip of green light was seen in circle. It covered over the curtain. Amongst those who Flint claimed to have contacted were:

Archimedes

Arthur Conan Doyle

Marilyn Monroe

Winston Churchill

Mahatma Gandhi

Oscar Wilde

It is only intriguing to note that out of this list three of the individuals have also come through to circle on different occasion. This has been Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, in relation to his dispute over Houdini, Marilyn Monroe and her connection to Princess Diana; and Winston Churchill only last circle as he showed himself in relations to the American presidents and World WarII.

The Society for Psychical Research claimed it was possible that Flint used hypnosis hypnotic auditory haullucination as a valid explained logical version of what happened during his circles. However in response, Dr. Louis Young, put this test, whereby he used Roping Leslie Flint to a chair and put color water in his mouth; afterwards the level of water was checked and having only gone down a fraction it was noted that his throat had been full of liquid and therefore his voice box not allowed to open or work. Professor after professor put Lesley to the test and had to state him genuine.

York next came into the circle. The name of York and Balmoral. It was with the names Viscount Linley, and a shape of a male energy that the following information was given in circle. Balmoral, the person’s spirit said related to Princess Margaret and Patridge in pear tree. At first, it was questioned, because more info was needed.

Hence, the room turned cold on that side of room, also the mist grew. It seemed as if spirit were attempting more energy transfer and then more information flew. One, Viscount Linley and then the name Sarah. Also Beatrice kept being mentioned.

Princess Margaret, her form, stepped toward the gathering and one person was singled out for hello. Margaret’s early life was spent primarily at the Yorks’ residences at 145 Piccadilly (their town house in London) or Royal Lodge in Windsor. The Yorks were perceived by the public as an ideal family: father, mother and children, but unfounded rumours that Margaret was deaf and dumb were not completely dispelled until Margaret’s first main public appearance at her uncle Prince George’s wedding in 1934. She was educated alongside her sister, Princess Elizabeth, by their Scottish governess Marion Crawford. Her education was mainly supervised by her mother, who in the words of Randolph Churchill “never aimed at bringing her daughters up to be more than nicely behaved young ladies”. When Queen Mary insisted upon the importance of education, the Duchess of York commented, “I don’t know what she meant. After all I and my sisters only had governesses and we all married well—one of us very well”. Margaret was resentful about her limited education, especially in later years, aiming criticism at her mother. However, Margaret’s mother told a friend that she “regretted” that her own daughters did not go to school like other children, and the employment of a governess rather than sending the girls to school may have been done only at the insistence of King George V.

Here it can be seen, through this evidence, that York referred to not only the name of family but also as a residence.

George V died when Margaret was five, and her uncle succeeded as King Edward VIII. Less than a year later, on 11 December 1936, Edward abdicated to marry Wallis Simpson, a twice-divorced American, whom neither the Church of England nor the Dominion governments would accept as Queen. The Church would not recognise the marriage of a divorced woman with a living ex-husband as valid. Edward’s abdication left a reluctant Duke of York in his place as King George VI, and Margaret unexpectedly became second in line to the throne with the style The Princess Margaret to indicate her status as a child of the sovereign. The family moved into Buckingham Palace; Margaret’s room overlooked The Mall.

The spirit stood in circle with a regal elegance. It was also seen with a flash of a diamond jewel that someone else was present in circle. Margaret was a Brownie in the 1st Buckingham Palace Brownie Pack, formed in 1937. She was also a Girl Guide and later a Sea Ranger. She served as President of Girlguiding UK from 1965 until her death in 2002.

At the outbreak of World War II, a theme heavy in the circle, Margaret and her sister were at Birkhall, on the Balmoral Castle estate, where they stayed until Christmas 1939 enduring nights so cold that drinking water in carafes by their bedside froze. They spent Christmas at Sandringham House, before moving to Windsor Castle just outside London for much of the remainder of the war. Lord Hailsham wrote to Prime Minister Winston Churchill to advise the evacuation of the princesses to the greater safety of Canada, to which their mother famously replied “The children won’t go without me. I won’t leave without the King. And the King will never leave.” When Margaret was twelve in 1942 her uncle and godfather, Prince George, was killed in an air crash. Unlike other members of the royal family, Margaret was not expected to undertake any public or official duties during the war. She developed her skills at singing and playing the piano. Her contemporaries thought she was spoilt by her parents, especially her father, who allowed her to take liberties not usually permissible, such as being allowed to stay up to dinner at the age of 13. Marion Crawford despaired at the attention Margaret was getting, writing to friends “Could you this year only ask Princess Elizabeth to your party? … Princess Margaret does draw all the attention and Princess Elizabeth lets her do that.” Elizabeth, however, did not mind this, commenting, “oh, it’s so much easier when Margaret’s there—everybody laughs at what Margaret says”. King George described Elizabeth as his pride and Margaret as his joy.

It was this link, which was between Balmoral and the Partridge in pear trees which indicated this residence at Christmas; a time when the Partride would be in a pear tree.

Her twenty-first birthday party was also held at Balmoral in August 1951. The following month her father underwent surgery for lung cancer, and Margaret was appointed one of the Counsellors of State who undertook the King’s official duties while he was incapacitated. Within six months, her father was dead and her sister was Queen

Lady Sarah who she related to, this was her child born in 1964 and David, Viscount Linley in 1961 who was the first name reference.

Linley’s daughter, Margarita Armstrong-Jones, was a bridesmaid at the wedding of the Duke of Cambridge in 2011. Margarita is also a spirit link for the circle and well used. It is Margarit who is the mother of one of the members and actually came through and spoke.

Trooping of the colour, this was seen, by one of the mediums who while Princess Margaret was seen was surrounded with beautiful horses.

Earldom of Snowdon, the title is one which inherited one day by Viscount, is a name mentioned by spirit in circle.

Beatrice, Recently on 30th March 2012, Princess Beatrice gave an attendence to thanksgiving for the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret at Saint George’s chapel.

This was why Beatrice was said.

Michael Bentine CBE (26 January 1922 – 26 November 1996) was a British comedian, a spirit person who came into circle, a comic actor and founding member of the Goons. He was Peruvian Briton as a result of his father’s nationality. In 1971, Bentine received the Order of Merit of Peru following his fund-raising work for the 1970 Great Peruvian Earthquake.

Having made an entrance, this spirit was keen to show links between him and his friends.

In 1954, he began as a television presenter with a BBC children’s series, The Bumblies. These were three small creatures from outer space who slept on “Professor Bentine’s” ceiling and who had come to Earth to learn the ways of Earthling children. He also appeared in the film comedy Raising a Riot, starring Kenneth More, which featured his five year old daughter “Fusty”. He joked that she got better billing. Many faces were also seen as coming down from the ceiling that evening in circle.

Also, like the Princess M, he wished to help and set up charities. His association to the Prince of Wales; this was another link to Royalty.

During 1959, he worked on the radio series Round the Bend in 30 Minutes. From 1960 to 1964, he had a television series It’s a Square World, which won a BAFTA award in 1962 and Grand Prix de la Presse at Montreux in 1963. A prominent feature of the series was the imaginary flea circus where plays were enacted on tiny sets using nothing but special effects to show the movement of things too small to see and sounds with Bentine’s commentary. The plays were not serious. One, titled The Beast of the Black Bog Tarn, was set in a (miniature) haunted house.

Little known fact, and only as a result of seeing him in circle it was researched and found that Bentine was a founding figure in spiritualism. Well experimented and trying to find more out.

In 1969-70 he was presenter of The Golden Silents on BBC TV, which attempted authentic showings of silent films, without the commentaries with which they were usually shown on television before then.

From 1974 to 1980 he wrote, designed, narrated and presented the children’s television programme Michael Bentine’s Potty Time and made one-off comedy specials.

He was also the best-selling writer of 16 novels, comedies and non-fiction books. Four of his books, The Long Banana Skin (1975), The Door Marked Summer (1981), Doors to the Mind and The Reluctant Jester (1992) are autobiographical.

Born and raised in Folkestone Kent (england) which is very close to the circle, this figure was also an idol of the partner of one of the members. During the 1960s he took part in the first hovercraft expedition up the River Amazon.

In 1995, Bentine received a CBE from Queen Elizabeth II “for services to entertainment”. He was also a holder of the Peruvian Order of Merit, as was his grandfather, Don Antonio Bentin Palamero, for his work leading the fundraising for the Peruvian Earthquake Appeal.

Bentine was a crack pistol shot and helped to start the idea of a counter-terrorist wing within 22 SAS Regiment. In doing so, he became the first non-SAS person ever to fire a gun inside the close-quarters battle training house at Hereford.

His interests included parapsychology. This was as a result of his and his family’s extensive research into the paranormal, which resulted in his writing The Door Marked Summer and The Doors of the Mind. He was, for the final years of his life, president of the Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena.

Bentine was also interested in science. On 14 December 1977, he appeared with Arthur C Clarke on Patrick Moore’s BBC The Sky At Night programme. The broadcast was entitled “Suns, Spaceships and Bug-Eyed Monsters” – a light-hearted look at how science fiction had become science fact, as well as how ideas of space travel had become reality through the 20th century. Bentine appeared in a subsequent broadcast on a similar theme with Patrick Moore in 1980. Following the death of Arthur C. Clarke, BBC Sky At Night magazine released a copy of the 1977 archive programme on the cover of their May 2008 edition.

He was married twice, remaining with his second wife Clementina Stuart, a Royal Ballet dancer, for over fifty years. He had a child from his first marriage, Elaine from whom he has a granddaughter Marie Laurence and three great-grandsons, William, Arthur and Nicholas. His children from his second marriage were better known by their family nicknames than their birth names; Gus (real name Stewart), Fusty (real name Marylla), Suki (real name Serena) and Peski (real name Richard). Two of his five children, his eldest daughters, died from cancer (breast cancer and lymphoma), while his elder son, Gus, was killed when a Piper PA-18 (Super Cub, registration G-AYPN) crashed into a hillside at Ditcham Park Woods near Petersfield, Hampshire, on 28 August 1971. His body, together with that of the pilot and the aircraft, was found on 31 October 1971. Bentine’s subsequent investigation into regulations governing private airfields resulted in his writing a report for the Special Branch of the British police into the use of personal aircraft in smuggling operations. He fictionalised much of the material in his novel Lords of the Levels.

It was because a ballerina was seen in shadow on the wall that it was known as Bentine was present this was a reference to his wife. When his son Richard’s first boy Elliot was born, he tried to give him an MG 08 machine gun, which his daughter-in-law refused to accept. When Richard’s second son Harry was born, Michael bought him a train set.

From 1975 until his death in 1996, he and his wife spent their winters at a second home in Palm Springs, California,USA.

Prince Charles, he was a friend, and as California was mentioned this was also a link given in circle.

Chairs were shaken in circle.

Dame Elizabeth Rosemond “Liz” Taylor, the owner of the flash of diamond, DBE (February 27, 1932 – March 23, 2011) was a British-American actress. From her early years as a child star with MGM, she became one of the great screen actresses of Hollywood’s Golden Age. As one of the world’s most famous film stars,Taylor was recognized for her acting ability and for her glamorous lifestyle, beauty and distinctive violet eyes.

This beautiful star was seen near and just after Princess Margaret. It is strange how spirit show link. Yet also as Jonathon, spirit, was speaking that questions could be asked about her and her link to spiritualism shown.

Amongst the famous spirit seen in circle were Fred Astair and Humphre y Bogart. Elizabeth Taylor was noted for her portrayl in National Velvet (1944) was Taylor’s first success, and she starred in Father of the Bride (1950), A Place in the Sun (1951), Giant (1956), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958), and Suddenly, Last Summer (1959). She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for BUtterfield 8 (1960), played the title role in Cleopatra (1963), and married her co-star Richard Burton. They appeared together in 11 films, including Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966), for whichTaylor won a second Academy Award. From the mid-1970s, she appeared less frequently in film, and made occasional appearances in television and theatre.

Her much publicized personal life included eight marriages and several life-threatening illnesses. From the mid-1980s, Taylor championed HIV and AIDS programs; she co-founded the American Foundation for AIDS Research in 1985, and the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation in 1993. She received the Presidential Citizens Medal, the Legion of Honour, the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award and a Life Achievement Award from the American Film Institute, who named her seventh on their list of the “Greatest American Screen Legends”. Taylor died of congestive heart failure in March 2011 at the age of 79. Spirit recollected information about her to circle; and also stated she was spiritual.

Once again here it should be linked that causes were close to the spirits’ hearts. Sir Norman Joseph Wisdom, he came next, OBE (4 February 1915 – 4 October 2010) was an English actor, comedian and singer-songwriter best known for a series of comedy films produced between 1953 and 1966 featuring his hapless onscreen character Norman Pitkin. These films initially made more money than the James Bond Film Series. Wisdom gained a celebrity status in lands as far apart as South America, Iran and many Eastern Bloc countries, particularly in Albania, where his films were the only ones by Western actors permitted by Enver Hoxha to be shown. Charlie Chaplin once referred to Wisdom as his “favourite clown”.

Wisdom, also known, to one of the circle members, he popped in to say hello. It was delightful and as this was seen a number of sounds set off in the room. The red light also went up and down.

Wisdom later forged a career on Broadway in New York and as a television actor, winning critical acclaim for his dramatic role of a dying cancer patient in the television play Going Gently in 1981. It was broadcast on 5 June that year. He toured Australia and South Africa. After the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, a hospice was named in his honour. In 1995 he was given the Freedom of the City of London and of Tirana. The same year he received an OBE. Wisdom was knighted in 2000 and spent much of his later life on the Isle of Man. Some of his later appearances included roles in Last of the Summer Wine and Coronation Street, and he retired from acting at the age of 90 after his health deteriorated.

With trance also active, one of the sitters started to move and a voice approached. A female. This lady wanted to thank circle for the addition of the object. With her speaking a set of smells went round the room.

Magna Carta, also called Magna Carta Libertatum, is an English charter, originally issued in the year 1215 and reissued later in the 13th century in modified versions. The name of Magna Carta. This was mentioned in circle by spirit. It is probably because of the Royal link and the fact that land was chartered first on this document and lines associated. The later versions excluded the most direct challenges to the monarch’s authority that had been present in the 1215 charter. The charter first passed into law in 1225; the 1297 version, with the long title (originally in Latin) The Great Charter of the Liberties of England, and of the Liberties of the Forest, still remains on the statute books of England and Wales. Gene Pitney was also seen moving in circle. His feature and name shown by spirit.

Napoleon Bonaparte (French: Napoléon Bonaparte [napoleɔ̃ bɔnɑpaʁt] later French: Napoléon Ier) (15 August 1769 – 5 May 1821) was a French military and political leader during the latter stages of the French Revolution. His spirit was seen standing close to circle.

May, which was mentioned, Jonathon spoke and stipulated this was important. It was significant as it was a passing date for both Doris Stokes and Napoleon Bonaparte. Actually there dates of passing are only a few days apart, but so many years later. As Napoleon I, he was Emperor of the French from 1804 to 1815. His legal reform, the Napoleonic Code, has been a major influence on many civil law jurisdictions worldwide, but he is best remembered for his role in the wars led against France by a series of coalitions, the so-called Napoleonic Wars. He established hegemony over most of continental Europe and sought to spread the ideals of the French Revolution, while consolidating an imperial monarchy which restored aspects of the deposed ancien régime. He was considered a greatest military lead. He also finishes his reign on 11 April 1814, this was only a few days before circle on 16′th April 2012.

Sir Peter Alexander Ustinov CBE (16 April 1921 – 28 March 2004) was an English actor, writer and dramatist. Happy Birthday Peter Ustinov, who came into circle and it was not known that this was such a special day for him, instead he kept referencing having bought himself something which pleased him. This was an object purchased from Portebello Market and sorry Peter that was his birthday gift. He was also renowned as a filmmaker, theatre and opera director, stage designer, author, screenwriter, comedian, humourist, newspaper and magazine columnist, radio broadcaster and television presenter. A noted wit and raconteur, he was a fixture on television talk shows and lecture circuits for much of his career. He was also a respected intellectual and diplomat who, in addition to his various academic posts, served as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF and President of the World Federalist Movement.

It was such a pleasure to have him in circle. On his birthday.

Alf Garnett, a program which was created during WWII. The name Alf Garnett was given by spirit. Not only is this another link to WWII but also Warren Missel met his contemporary who was Richard Burton. Richard Burton was the notorious partner of Who was; shown in circle Elizabeth Taylor. He was of Russian Jewish descent and this he had linked with Peter Ustinov and went to the Gladys Gordon’s Academy of Dramatic Arts in Walthamstow. He went into the RAF in 1944 with Richard Burton. The name Gladys also linked with another spirit.

The next spirit to talk was that of William who spoke of mind and spirit connecting. He said that attaining perfection was difficult and that achieving a balanced right was important for spirit. He talked of Sai BaBa, a holy man, and healing which was given with more hands and people who came next in line.

The circle was visited also by child spirits and it was beautiful. With toys and lights sparkling.

The connected link between the spirit who visited that evening proved to be that they were all founders of movement and charity orginisations. All loved to be of help in a grand system; and put trusts in place to ensure help was given where it was needed.

Another spirit also spoke through, Leslie Flint’s influence, noted as this spirit was energized and wished to inquire how the old gang (The circle) was doing; it was with high spirits the circle continued.

With a closing made; the objects were checked and the Abacus in te corner had been touched and the balls shifted.

It was a magical; glamorous circle.

Bertram,Tivoli and the number four, a necklace, the name Kingsley and Southampton, Mr. Henry Forbes who devoted his life in the final stage to saving children and women; and Mr. Arthur Curtis.

This date 14th/15 April 2012; proved to be more innovative and highlighted by spirit than we knew…

It was last night that I was in my bed, and the most peculiar and cold feeling woke me; it was at the time when I was fast asleep that I jumped to come to face with a sense of panic. It was also at this time that I was shown images of the water, darkness and particularly a face of a man. It was not known at that instant but the shivers which had me shaking and the heart stopping anxious sense let me know that there was more to me waking up than I knew…

I could not stop shaking…also it was the picture in front of me that had me looking to make sense of things, first a man with distinctive features, then a lady in a diamond and lace gown, next a list of identifying names. It was first, Kingsley, then Forbes, and the name showed by them. The name Droughtsman. Although it was hard at the time, having just woken, and the image being so fresh; the idea that this was all relating for something maritime started to build. The picture beside showed of a ship, it was the lights which first became so stunning because even in the dark, it was these which twinkled and then turned to show something more sinister as the ship started to descend into the water. There was so much sadness.

The man with the name of Arthur Curtis, it was to him that Kingsley seemed important, he looked and asked if it was in Southampton, and when it was indicated not it was only then that he looked to finding it. Stoker, this name was also referenced from him. After research it can be shown that a Mr. Arthur Curtis was on board the Titanic, and it was he who lived at 55. Kingsley in Southampton. It was not only this but the fact that he was a Fireman/stoker on board Titanic.

There was an anxiousness. It was so much effort to breath, the faces of so many crowded. One man had a broken back. Another two were fighting. One little boy with cap rushed up and was looking for mother. Once seen it was hard to process. There was moments when the people seemed everything. Then when the ship seemed to take everything up. The lights shown as sparkling even with that part of the ship jutting out of the water. It was dank. So cold and I could not imagine sensing more even though I was witnessing it. There was a confused state. A period when only names came through and it was then that Forbes, a man with moustache, you could tell he was courageous. Only after looking into records after the encounter; it can be linked that this man was one who was only board the Titanic due to a shift of his dates needing to sail from earlier to the 10th and being put on board the Titanic. It was he who had to leave his wife suffering with flu and despite the fact that he had been focused on helping, gave his life to saving the women and children on board.

The event that evening did not stop there, it was a lady who came up next, one in a beautiful ball dress and she said Tivoli and it was a few minutes later I saw a necklace. At first it was odd, but later after looking into it, Tivoli was a place not a name, it appeared that this Tivoli was the centre in Denmark where a Titanic memorial was. It was here that intriguingly a necklace from on board the Titanic and which was put on show was stolen.

Sometimes you just have to help, to trust and it is about learning. That evening it was upsetting, and I could see things that were difficult to encounter. Mainly because some of the spirits had not passed. It was only after the light was shown and spirit guide helped that the spirits of those people passed through to the other side, it was only then the images felt easier. They only then felt more like memories.

The actual time that I woke and spirit showed blue lights, and physical taps could be heard was at 4.30am. It only made sense after, as this was the time, much later than believed when the fireworks were first set off by Titanic and the disaster had just occured so people were left stranded in the warer.

It is on the 14th April 2012; that marks the help and little known fact that a Mr. Arthur Moore was one of the first people whom heard the call for help in his attic in Caerphilly, where he was avidly setting up and testing his radio. This was the schedule of what took place that evening over so many years ago and on an eve which commemorates it, it was eerily reminiscent.

3.30am: Carpathia’s rockets are spotted by the survivors

4.10am: The first lifeboat is picked up by the Carpathia.

8.50am: The Carpathia leaves the area, bound forNew York. She has on board 705 survivors from the Titanic.

The encounters are many from the Titanic. Those who gave up so much, those who helped and those who tried their best in such an awful situation.

It was at the Tivoli, which that night event showed, that so many personal memories were captured; it does look to be that this period is one of importance. One girl also never slept on the night between April 14 and April 15. She would stay awake with the nightgown she had worn on April 14 1912 placed neatly in front of her on the coffee table. When she died in 1980 she was buried in this nightgown. At the exhibition visitors can hear Carla Jensen’s own story. In a rare Denmark’s Radio interview she tells of the night when her fiancée and their American dream went down with the Titanic.

It was not only this that made Tivoli special, but after research showed that Murdoch, a vital member on ship also wrote letters and they are stored there; it is in this blog from one of the circle’s that this person made so vital an appearance.

Betram was also mentioned that evening. Here I have put some information regarding him;

Bertram Vere Dean (21 May 1910 – 14 April 1992) was a passenger aboard RMS Titanic during her maiden voyage.

Bertram Dean was the son of Bertram Frank Dean, and his wife, Georgette Eva Light. He had a younger sister, Millvina Dean. The Deans boarded Titanic as third class passengers at Southampton, intending to take passage to America, where they hoped to settle in Wichita, Kansas and open a tobacco shop. On the night of the sinking, the one-year old Bertram, with his sister and his mother, were placed in Lifeboat 10, and survived to be picked up by RMS Carpathia. His father was lost in the sinking, with his body never being recovered.

Last night was not only a reminder; it was an aid from spirit. It was horrible to encounter some of the moments, but it also showed the important note of crossing over.

The last man to be seen was carrying an object and it seemed as if as shown, he too was one of the last on board. He too walked over to the other side, only as the fragments of the past were shown and help from spirit given.

Due to a Bank Holiday this week’s regular circle blog has had to be postponed; instead I would like to tell you of the importance of materialsation trance; and spirit physical which takes place in circle. Helen Duncan (25 November 1897 – 6 December 1956). She was a scottish medium.

1940s medium, Helen Duncan, had a super control Albert Stewart to which she received much aid and assistance. It is with his help that this photo of spirit materialisation has been allowed to come into the open.

Spirit control, Albert, is vital as it is with a spirit aid that circle can take place and any physical evidenced. Trust is integral, as just with Black Cloud and other spirit beings who assist in this particular attribute of spirit investigation it is only with their help that things are made possible. Harry Edwards, the greatest healer and spiritualist, who wrote and supported, Helen Duncan also knew of the significance held in these notable individuals. Spirit aids as such become the basis for spiritual love and investigation. The playing with the toys and the light physical are yet new intervention from which spirit exhibit their being.

The questions which we put to them and the answers we receive, through physical, or in the line of circle all come with their help. Devoted to helping spirit side, their assistance, is combined with responsibility and the patience which they offer to help with this plight.

Helen Victoria Duncan was born on 25 November 1898. Helen passed to the spirit world in 1956 during December and only five weeks after the police had broken her state in trance. It is during that trance deep level that mediums are notably left vulnerable and in a highly-sensitive condition.

Helen Duncan, an extraordinary medium, was nicknamed the “Blitz spiritualist” due to her work during WWII; she was able to hold meetings in which spirit could not only communicate their wish to the sitting but also show information by which events could be foretold; it was during one such occasion that a sailor materialised and wearing his naval cap with the letters HMS Barham told of the vessel and the fact that it had been sunk. Not even the office at Government HQ had this news, it was because of this, and the fact that later this evidence was proved that Mrs Duncan was put under so much scrutiny.

In relation to the activity which was taking hold at the time, there were rumours, that prime minister and specifically Winston Churchill had been told of Helen Duncan. Helen was viewed as a possible spy and because at the time the D-Day landings were to take place, it was agreed that Helen’s activities could be detrimental to the War front; especially so as the “passed over” service men kept appearing in Helen’s circle.

It was as a result of this that in 1944 Helen Duncan was taken to the Old Bailey in London to be heard under an early Witchcraft act of 1735. The case was seen to cause controversy and distress. The 40 witnesses and over 300 prepared people were ready to take the stand for Helen. It was even deemed by many as the place where Helen could prove her mediumistic ability and having offered to run a circle in the court under strict conditions which would prove evidence; this was denied by the court and stigmatised as irrelivant to proceedings. The whole case was a gross violation of the idea that one should be innocent until proven guilty. With such trials acting under motives which were cloaked and hidden it was no wonder that the verdict did not recognise the act of spiritualism.

Helen Duncan showed that spiritualist work could be vivid and breath taking. Her sittings gave way to the love and compassion she had. Working to evidence not only physical. Helen helped to give weight to the further look into what spirit can do. By, helping to show that loved ones are close, Helen was one of the first medium’s to demonstrate full materialisation and through particular elements show that people could touch and see the spirit world. Whilst these were important, it is also as an example, that we hold her work as paramount. Helen, with such a close family, welcomed Albert, her spirit aid into her life and it was because of this that a unit was felt. Spirit felt love in her circle, just as work progressed to new levels. Obtaining physical in such circle and under such conditions is vital as it gives way to introducing a new aspect of spiritualism which people may not be aware, it also gives spiritual means a chance to extend a hand in a new direction.

This control, became so important to Helen Duncan and her family, that even her children could be aware of his presence and started to call him “Uncle Albert”. His sounds could be heard through the ceiling, and also little Peggy Helen’s child spirit could also be felt in circle.

Despite the altercation and the reception, this medium, was able to re-open the investigation into spiritualism. Her work and love combined to show that spirit can show their level and compassion.

In 1954 the British Act of Parliament saw spiritualism legalised as an actual religion.

This is something which Helen’s work and brutal suffering brought about.

Embracing loved ones, spirit is all centred, on the union of the soul and love. This is something which Helen could show.

Q – What is spirit?A – SPIRIT is perfect in its origin, spirit possess intrinsically the creative forces of all life. Spirit is not subject to age, infirmity, wastage or to any of the defects that affect the physical body. The line of spirit evolution is from immaturity to maturity. Part of its evolution is accomplished through a physical body, which it has created for that purpose. Spirit is dominant, spirit is the king, spirit is the ruler. But here comes the paradox. There is an interaction between spirit, mind and body, and the body restricts the activity of the spirit on earth because the spirit can express itself on earth only through the body at its disposal.

Attended the Northdown trance and physical circle on the 2nd April 2012; in this sitting the question was put to spirit in relevance to physical activity. One sitter, unbeknown to the other members, privately asked spirit if it was possible to display a varied number of physical demonstration. As will be shown in this account, the sitting took place; and physical in question was given an answer in the most superb and intriguing of ways.

The curtains in the room were drawn and firmly pegged, the items were checked and with only the red light lit to light the room the circle began. With the beginning of the drumming the opening words were said and spirit started to light the room. Trance commenced; and it was during those initial seconds spirit started to show. With the members who were in trance; a coolness started to infiltrate leaving the members cold and with a breeze around them. Next, the first set of auras started to show. Each person could clealy be seen with a light surrounding them.

The singing bowl was chimed. In essence all that is needed is a light touch to the rim to cause the bowl to ring. This was done at the start of circle and all at once the temperature differed. One of intense icy chill turned to warmth.

Two native american figures were seen. One was of Standing Bear who stood with one medium. The other was of Silver Birch. Silver Birc h is the spirit control of Maurice Barbanell of whom so much was taught in circle.

The first medium to talk was with a spirit who was eager to take on the voice. He stated can you hear us? To which he went through with a speech on the importance of knowing what the physical was which was taking place. There were certain spirit who wanted to perform action. Spirit who wanted to empathize and help to stand in circle. It was certainly necessary for the mediums to be aware of the process. Trust your vision, he said and look to what will take place.

Following this, there was a flurry of taps. The sounds could be heard on the wall. A medium sitting on one of the chairs had the cushion under her slipped out. Whilst this was taking plac e other spirit were collecting. Shadows were seen.

It was clear that there were a number of presence, next the image of a Panther was seen and the name Peter came through. It was moments later it was realised this was Peter Sell ars of Pink Panther fame. Richard Henry Sellers, CBE (8 September 1925 – 24 July 1980), known as Peter Sellers, was a British comedian and actor. Perhaps best known as Chief Inspector Clouseau in The Pink Panth er film series, he is also notable for playing three different characters in Dr. Strangelove, as Clare Quilty in Lolita, and as the TV-addicted man-child Chance the gardener in his penultimate film, Being There. Actress Bette Davis once remarked of him, “He isn’t an actor—he’s a chameleon.”

Radio images were seen. Next, the implication that this man also starred on the radio. Sellers rose to fame on the BBC Radio comedy series The Goon Show. His ability to speak in different accents (e.g., French, Indian, Italian, American, German, as well as British regional accents), along with his talent to portray a range of characters to comic effect, contributed to his success as a radio personality and screen actor and earned him national and international nominations and awards. Many of his characters became ingrained in public perception of his work.

The next encounter was fantastic. It was seen by one medium, both the posture and then the message from queen Victoria, it was said by her the words we are not amused but this was with a German accent. Now, it was known to the group that Queen Victoria had no German accent but it was not known why or how appropriate this little encounter was from a certain Mr. Peter Sella rs. At the time, the circle knew this was significant, it was thought at that point that this message was given for another reason and though it was not known at the time, this same person used to dress as Queen Victoria and used accents as a way to bring fun and frolics into his impersonation. It is believed this is what he was doing in circle. Sellers appeared on The Muppe t Show television series in 1977. He chose not to appear as himself, instead appearing in a variety of costumes and accents. When Kermit the Frog told Sellers he could relax and be “himself,” Sellers (while wearing a Viking helmet, a girdle and one boxing glove, claiming to have attempted to dress as Queen Victoria), replied, “There is no me. I do not exist. There used to be a me, but I had it surgically removed.”

Next, it was shown, that this same person was involved with theatre. At fifteen, Sellars was a stage manager, usher and lighting operator. Sellars showed that he was behind the stage. After research it can be explained that this was true. He also offered the name and initial P with this role. He was also offered some small acting parts. Working backstage gave him a chance to see serious actors at work, such as Paul Scofield. He also became close friends with Derek Altman, and together they launched Sellers’ first stage act under the name “Altman and Sellers,” where they played ukuleles, sang, and told jokes. They also both enjoyed reading detective stories by Dashiell Hammett, and were inspired to start their own detective agency. “Their enterprise ended abruptly when a potential client ripped Sellers’ fake moustache off.”

The P which Peter reffered to is believed to link with Paul Scofield.

He also brought up RAF.

After looking into it, Peter was a member, he acted with the RAF. The Lodge clearly remembers the first time he witnessed Sellers impersonating an officer, after he pulled a squadron leader’s uniform out of the props. The band’s trumpeter first tried to stop him: “Don’t be a bloody idiot, Peter. You’ll get five years in the clink if you’re cropped.” It did no good, according to Lodge:

On went a false mustache. He parted his hair down the center, dusted it with talc around the temples, smoothed the medal ribbbons he’d awarded himself for campaigns he’d never been in—which was another five years, maybe—and clapped his cap on at the rakish angle which was how that sort of rank was expected to wear it. Then he went downstairs, me following, white with apprehension. I noticed his walk had even gotten years older, and carried an authority I never imagined Peter could muster. He threw open the door of the men’s bunkhouse and waited a second before he entered—even then he had a great sense of timing. . . . Then he walked down the center, eyeing them with quiet pride. . . . imitating impeccably the tones of a man unused to having his authority questioned.

How apt that Sellars, came to circle, and impersonated Queen Victoria so truely that the medium did not know and believed it to be her and only questioned the German intonation.

Sellers was a Freemason and belonged to Chelsea Lodge No 3098, a lodge whose membership consists of celebrities and performers, through which means he socialised with a number of other actors and comedians.

Physical can form in the most unusual of ways. Prior to the circle two of the members found a piece of paper which materialised in the most odd place, in a plastic bag which was recent and about to be used, it was a paper dated to 1998 and it belonged to a receipt one member had to a masonic lodge.

How influential, that this same piece of paper, came up from nowhere and related to masonic lodge, the same society that a number of the visitors and theme related to in that circle.

In relation to Sellars, once again, his identity came through with names, Cassie, the daughter Lynne had with her third husband, Barry Unger. This name, Cassie and Alison both came up during this visit in circle. Sellers’ only son, Michael, died of a heart attack at 52 during surgery on 24 July 2006 (26 years to the day after his father’s death). Michael was survived by his second wife, Alison, whom he married in 1986, and their two children.

Sacha Baron Cohen “In a 2005 poll to find “The Comedian’s Comedian”, Sellers was voted 14 in the list of the top 20 greatest comedians by fellow comedians and comedy insiders.[ British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen frequently referred to Peter Sellers “as the most seminal force in shaping his early ideas on comedy”. Cohen was considered for the role of the biopic The Life and Death of Peter Sellers (the role went to Australian actor Geoffrey Rush).

The people who visited in circle all seemed to have a connection to Mason and also to being instrumental in popularity. David Paul Scofield, CH, CBE (21 January 1922 – 19 March 2008), better known as Paul Scofield, was an English actor of stage and screen. Noted for his distinctive voice and delivery, Scofield received an Academy Award and a BAFTA Award for his performance as Sir Thomas More in the 1966 film A Man for All Seasons, a reprise of the role he played in the stage version at the West End and on Broadway for which he received a Tony Award.

The West End was once again showed by spirit. Theatre connections played up to the point that the whole circle felt involved. Scofield married actress Joy Parker in 1943. The couple had two children; Martin (born 1945) (a Senior Lecturer in English and American literature at the University of Kent) and Sarah (born 1951). It is intriguing to note that one of the members has just graduated from the University of Kent in English and American Literature.

The film which is to be next mentioned, is a result of the fact that an ancient symbol pattern came through. The circle could see King Solomon, and the link to Lollabrigita, an Italian actress who played Queen Sheba. The theme of Royalty and presenting came in the representing the Queen of Sheba as an ally of ancient Egyptin opposition to King Solomon of Israel.

Under the rule of King David, Israel is united and prosperous, although surrounded by enemies, including Egypt and its allies. The ageing King favours Solomon to succeed him, but his elder brother Adonijah (George Sanders), a warrior, declares himself King. When David learns of this, he publicly announces Solomon to be his successor. Adonijah and Joab, his general, withdraw in rage, but Solomon later offers his brother the command of the army, knowing that it may be used against him.

Israel continues to prosper under Solomon’s rule. The Queen of Sheba (Gina Lollobrigid a) who was mentioned conspires with the Egyptian Pharaoh to undermine Solomon’s rule by seducing him and introducing Sheban pagan worship into Jerusalem. Solomon is indeed bewitched by her, and the two begin living together under the pretense of forming an alliance between their two kingdoms. The king’s reputation is damaged, but at the same time Sheba begins to truly fall in love with him and regret her plotting. Things come to a head when Solomon recklessly allows a Sheban ‘love festival’ (in fact an orgy in celebration of a pagan goddess) to be held within Israel. In an act of divine retribution, lightning from heaven destroys the Sheban altar and damages the newly-built Temple in Jerusalem, and the land is beset with a famine. Solomon is publicly rebuked by the people; the High Priest and Nathan the Prophet disown him.

Pursued by the Egyptians, who were sent to finish him off, Solomon thereafter devises a plan. He lines up the remnants of his army on a hill, prompting the enemy to charge. The Israelites, who have arranged themselves to face east, then use their highly polished shields to reflect the light of the rising sun into the Egyptians’ eyes. Blinded, the Egyptians are prevented from seeing the chasm in front of which the Israelites have positioned themselves, and the entire army rushes headlong over the edge and falls to its death.

Meanwhile Adonijah, met with a tepid reaction to his coup, tries to stir up Jerusalem’s population by ordering the stoning of Sheba. Midway through this hideous display, Solomon makes a triumphant return to the city. Adonijah attacks his brother, refusing to be deprived again of his throne, but is himself struck down, there are a number of connected aspect which spirit highlighted. At Solomon’s prayer Sheba is miraculously healed of her wounds; as he resumes his power, she returns to her homeland, now pregnant by Solomon. The Templar who relate to this also showed in circle.

The circle were witness to another spirit showing of the Knight’s Templar, which was an uncanny resembalance showed to highlight banking themes of the sitting. The Templar were original founders of Banking, instigating loans.

The templar put in place an order where people could deposit money in a Templar’s house and were given a coded receipt in lieu and taken when they were travelling so they had no need to take a lot of cash. Templar’s houses had branch and positions all over so that people could produce receipts and receive their cash, there was also a charge for this and it was a version of banking. The Templars in a way put up the first banking system and showed a system which could loan money and if it was not given as it should be on the date they could take lands and castle by means of paying back. This society was also originally built to help show a protection for King Solomon and was devised on the plot of where the King’s temple was. It was this pregnancy of Queen of Sheb a and the regalia that was noted in circle.

During filming in Madrid, the original star of the film, Tyrone Power, died of a heart attack after a gruelling duel scene with George Sanders. (The two had also filmed a sword fight in the 1942 film The Black Swa n.) Yul Brynner took over the role, though Power can still be seen in long shots. The film is probably most noted for an orgy scene featuringSheba (Lollobrigida) which was extremely licentious forHollywood motion pictures of that era.

It was noted by the members that this link was featured by spirits.

The Presidents: There was a moment in circle were politics became vital. Everywhere was newspapers and policy. Names of three were mentrioned. Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809 – April 15, 1865) was the 16th President of the United States, serving from March 1861 until his assassination in April 1865. He successfully led his country through a great constitutional, military and moral crisis – the American Civil War – preserving the Union, while ending slavery, and promoting economic and financial modernization. Reared in a poor family on the western frontier, Lincoln was mostly self-educated. He became a country lawyer, an Illinois state legislator, and a one-term member of the United States House of Representatives, but failed in two attempts to be elected to the United States Senate.

Lincoln was crutial to the United States, it was shown through circle that his policy and speech brought vitality. After opposing the expansion of slavery in the United States in his campaign debates and speeches, Lincoln secured the Republican nomination and was elected president in 1860. Before Lincoln took office in March, seven southern slave states declared their secession and formed the Confederacy. When war began with the Confederate attack on Fort Sumter on April 12, 1861, Lincoln concentrated on both the military and political dimensions of the war effort, seeking to reunify the nation. He vigorously exercised unprecedented war powers, including the arrest and detention without trial of thousands of suspected secessionists. He prevented British recognition of the Confederacy by skillfully handling the Trent affair late in 1861. His efforts toward abolition include issuing his Emancipation Proclamation in 1863 and encouraging Congress to propose what would become the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.

As the leader of the moderate faction of the Republican party, Lincoln found his policies and personality were “blasted from all sides”: Radical Republicans demanded harsher treatment of the South, War Democrats desired more compromise, Copperheads despised him, and irreconcilable secessionists plotted his death. Politically, Lincoln fought back with patronage, by pitting his opponents against each other, and by appealing to the American people with his powers of oratory. His Gettysburg Address of 1863 became the most quoted speech in American history. It was an iconic statement of America’s dedication to the principles of nationalism, equal rights, liberty, and democracy. At the close of the war, Lincoln held a moderate view of Reconstruction, seeking to reunite the nation speedily through a policy of generous reconciliation in the face of lingering and bitter divisiveness. His death was the first assassination of a U.S. president and sent the northern parts of the country into mourning. Lincoln has been consistently ranked by scholars and the public as one of the three greatestU.S. presidents

This Gettysburg link was also connected to Eisenhower, this was the second name which was mentioned, he also went to the place of Gettysburg and made important decisions there for army. His Religion was that of only what he believed and took no nomination.

Painting was a love, he also notably painted a portrait of Abraham Lincoln.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt 1933-1945 not only showed his name as vital in circle but also linked with Winston Churchil l. After it was evident that these pair were connected.

New Deal was brought as a headline in a report in circle.

Giving the situation and current climate of our Economy it seems suitably significant that the spirit decided to bring up this connection. Roosevelt made a speech, the speech was shown in circle, about dividing a nation and a signing by the Government.

In his first hundred days in office, which began March 4, 1933, Roosevelt spearheaded major legislation and issued a profusion of executive orders that instituted the New Deal—a variety of programs designed to produce relief (government jobs for the unemployed), recovery (economic growth), and reform (through regulation of Wall Street, banks and transportation). The economy improved rapidly from 1933 to 1937, but then relapsed into a deep recession. The bipartisan Conservative Coalition that formed in 1937 prevented his packing the Supreme Court or passing any considerable legislation; it abolished many of the relief programs when unemployment diminished during World War II. Most of the regulations on business were ended about 1975–85, except for the regulation of Wall Street by the Securities and Exchange Commission, which still exists. Along with several smaller programs, major surviving programs include the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, which was created in 1933, and Social Security, which Congress passed in 1935.

The date of this significant approach to a problem which is taking place now is notable. It is around the anniversary of such a solution.

Disability and physical forms were another theme that evening in circle. In August 1921, while the Roosevelts were vacationing at Campobello Island, New Brunswick, Canada, Roosevelt contracted an illness diagnosed then as polio which resulted in permanent paralysis from the waist down; this diagnosis has since been questioned. For the rest of his life, Roosevelt refused to accept that he was permanently paralyzed. He tried a wide range of therapies, including hydrotherapy, and, in 1926, he purchased a resort at Warm Springs, Georgia, where he founded a hydrotherapy center for the treatment of polio patients which still operates as the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation. After he became President, he helped to found the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis (now known as the March of Dimes).

At the time, Roosevelt was able to convince many people that he was getting better, which he believed was essential if he was to run for public office again. Fitting his hips and legs with iron braces, he laboriously taught himself to walk a short distance by swiveling his torso while supporting himself with a cane. In private, he used a wheelchair, but he was careful never to be seen in it in public. Great care was also taken to prevent his being portrayed by the press in a way which would highlight his disability. Only two photographs are known to exist of FDR which were taken while he was in his wheelchair; only four seconds of film exist of the “walk” he achieved after his illness. He usually appeared in public standing upright, supported on one side by an aide or one of his sons. FDR used a car with specially designed hand controls, which provided him further mobility.

In the public mind,Roosevelthas been by far the most famous polio survivor. However, his age at onset (39 years) and the majority of symptoms of his illness are more consistent with another disease. That evening, in circle a number of spirit, showed physical links, the Egyptian rule with particular hereditary condition and state, the phyical condition of the heart which effected so many of the actor spirit that evening and took them all around the age of 50 to spirit and the Houdini who was said to have a small figure and bowed knees, he came up towards end of circle.

Primarily it is believed that all the three political shapes of Roosevelt, Lincoln and Eisenhower were linked because of their rule. The three were intent on forming policy which would help at a critical time. This is also shown through their speeches, one stating that because rulers of the exchange of mankind’s goods have failed through their own stubbornness and their own incompetence, have admitted their failure, and have abdicated. Practices of the unscrupulous money changers stand indicted in the court of public opinion, rejected by the hearts and minds of men. True they have tried, but their efforts have been cast in the pattern of an outworn tradition. Faced by failure of credit they have proposed only the lending of more money. Stripped of the lure of profit by which to induce our people to follow their false leadership, they have resorted to exhortations, pleading tearfully for restored confidence….The money changers have fled from their high seats in the temple of our civilization. We may now restore that temple to the ancient truths. The measure of the restoration lies in the extent to which we apply social values more noble than mere monetary profit.

Historians categorized Roosevelt’s program as “relief, recovery and reform.” Relief was urgently needed by tens of millions of unemployed. Recovery meant boosting the economy back to normal. Reform meant long-term fixes of what was wrong, especially with the financial and banking systems. Roosevelt’s series of radio talks, known as fireside chats, presented his proposals directly to the American public.

It is something to be said, this crisis is so similar. Next, Boswell was shown, the name and also Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, whilst it was not known at the time these spirits were joined.James Boswell, 9th Laird of Auchinleck (29 October 1740 – 19 May 1795) was a lawyer, diarist, and author born in Edinburgh, Scotland; he is best known for the biography he wrote of one of his contemporaries, the English literary figure Samuel Johnson, which contemporary Johnsonian critic Harold Bloom has claimed is the greatest biography written in the English language.

The next spirit, he stated to the circle, there was much to be felt that evening.

Boswell was also needed to show in circle because the surname has passed into the English language as a term (Boswell, Boswellian, Boswellism) for a constant companion and observer, especially one who records those observations in print. In A Scandal in Bohemia, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s character Sherlock Holmes affectionately says of Dr. Watson, who narrates the tales, “I am lost without my Boswell. In circle Sir Arthur Conan Doyle also speculated over his writing about Sherlock Holmes, and stated it was never intended to take on the direction that popularity had sought to be.

Edgar Rice Burroughs, this man also not only links with his name spiritually given but also to his connection against Eisenhower, (September 1, 1875 – March 19, 1950) was an American author, best known for his creation of the jungle hero Tarzan and the heroic Mars adventurer John Carter, although he produced works in many genres.

West Point was the environment which put both Edgar Rice Burroughs and President Eisenhower in the same touching point.

Under the Moon of Mars was also a written piece of Edgar Burroughs and also the name of a boat given to one of the three Presidents.

Edgar also was a war correspondant and worked as a reporter during the precidency of Eisenhower.

At the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Burroughs was a resident of Hawaii and, despite being in his late sixties, he applied for permission to become a war correspondent. This permission was granted, and so he became one of the oldest war correspondents for the U.S. during World War II. After the war ended, Burroughs moved back to Encino, California, where, after many health problems, he died of a heart attack on March 19, 1950, having written almost seventy novels.

Burt Lancaster next made a show in circle. Burton Stephen “Burt”Lancaster(November 2, 1913 – October 20, 1994) was an American film actor noted for his athletic physique and distinctive smile (which he called “The Grin”). After initially building his career on “tough guy” rolesLancasterabandoned his “all-American” image in the late 1950s in favor of more complex and challenging roles, and came to be regarded as one of the best actors of his generation as a result.

Kay brothers, this lovely link, was both the name of the circus act he joined and also the name of the leader of circle, Kay.

Battle of Bosworth, Bosworth once again came up in circle as the Battle of Bosworth Field (or the Battle of Bosworth) was the penultimate battle of the Wars of the Roses, the civil war between the House of Lancaster and the House of York that raged across England in the latter half of the 15th century. Fought on 22 August 1485, the battle was won by the Lancastrians. Their leader Henry Tudor, Earl of Richmond, became the first English monarch of the Tudor dynasty by his victory and subsequent marriage to a Yorkist princess. His opponent Richard III, the last king of the House of York, was killed in the battle. Historians consider Bosworth Field to mark the end of the Plantagenet dynasty, making it one of the defining moments of English history; not only did Richard III al place as a Shakespeare play but also one which both Peter Sellar s and another of the spiritual guests acted in.

A Bridge Too Far, this name was shown in circle along with the name Arnhem. This is a 1977 epic war film based on the 1974 book of the same name by Cornelius Ryan, adapted by William Goldman. It was produced by Joseph E. Levine and Richard P. Levine and directed by Richard Attenborough.

The film tells the story of the failure of Operation Market Garden during World War II, the Allied attempt to break through German lines and seize several bridges in the occupied Netherlands, including one at Arnhem, with the main objective of outflanking German defenses.

The name for the film comes from an unconfirmed comment attributed to British Lieutenant-General Frederick Browning, deputy commander of the First Allied Airborne Army, who told Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery, the operation’s architect, before the operation: “I think we may be going a bridge too far.”

The ensemble cast includes Dirk Bogarde, James Caan, Michael Caine, Sean Connery, Edward Fox, Elliott Gould, Anthony Hopkins, Gene Hackman, Hardy Krüger, Laurence Olivier, Robert Redford and Maximilian Schell. The music was scored by John Addison, who took part in Market Garden.

This link to the world war was used by spirit to show Sir Dirk Bogarde (28 March 1921 – 8 May 1999) was an English actor and novelist. Initially a matinee idol in such films as Doctor in the House (1954) and other Rank Organisation pictures, Bogarde later acted in art-house films such as Death in Venice (1971). He also wrote several volumes of autobiography.

This spirit was too a writer and one who was acting during the same period as the other spirits.

Born as Daniel Patrick Carroll in Cork City, Danny La Rue next visited circle, born in Ireland in 1927, La Rue was the youngest of either four or five siblings. The family moved to England when he was six and he was brought up at Earnshaw Street in Soho, central London. When the family home was destroyed during the Blitz, his mother, a seamstress, moved her children to Kenn, a Devon village where young Daniel developed an interest in dramatics.

Among his celebrity impersonations were Elizabeth Taylor, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Marlene Dietrich, and Margaret Thatcher. At one point he had his own nightclub in Hanover Square, and also performed on London’s West End.

This showing of La Rue is felt to fit in with a glimpse of the life of Peter Sellars shown earlier that evening.

Glasgow was then shown, as Arthur Findlay 1883 – July 1964 founder of Psychic News and Glasgow Society for Psychical Research International Institute for Psychical Research. This man was was raised as a Master Mason inPhoenixLodge No. 257 in Southsea,Hampshire,Englandin 1887.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was seen by the members to ask where is the cabinet, which he was used to seeing in circles. He was shown in spirit with Arthur Findlay.

Houdini was also seen with Arthur Conan Doyle. In The Mill Valley Masonic Lodge No. 356 has an interesting article on their website about “Masons and Magicians.”

Testify, this word was shown, and it was through this action that Houdin i claimed his affinity to Masons.

Houdini April 6 They first lived in Appleton , Wisconsin, where his father served as Rabbi of the Zion Reform Jewish Congregation. From 1907 on, Houdini would claim in interviews to have been born inAppleton which was his other birth day and on April 6, 1874, on the Gregorian calendar or 13 days difference from the Julian calendar (March 24, 1874) inHungary at that time.

Not only were Jewish links so vital that evening in circle, but also the date coincides with the anniversary of Houdini’s birthday.

It could be possible that Houdini was trying to show this ceremony of remembering his birthday as a way for his spirit to come through. His wife was seen amongst the evening’s events and it was a tremendous moment. The contortionist show of himself was seen and also it was around that time the lights started dotting the circle.

The physical did not end there. The chairs in circle shook. Also following the last moments where upon birthday messages were given to the leader of circle, the pictures on the wall all moved. AS the circle was brought to a conclusion, the items were checked and the Abacus had been touched, the balls were now in a new position.

The ringing bowl which was mentioned earlier also chimed during circle. So many forms of active physical. Spirit were showing voice, vision and visiting with links of politics and times of revolution, comedy during the showing of the actors who were so linked and new types of experiment with spirit.

This shows how physical spirit can be.

It was such a defined and ellaborate look at spirit. It is also vital to mention that Knight’s Templar is a similar society to that in Freemasons and that they started the first economic system and banks in along the same line to that of which we have today. Research has shown that the Templar started their system in the twelth century.

Pics are of Peter Sellars, Paul Scofield, Gina Lollabrigida and the same in film and President Abraham Lincoln, it is vital to note that he was one of three amongstwhich the policy and statement of banking climates and moral show as critical.

Pics are taken from online encyclopeadia.

Attended the Northdown trance and physical circle on the 26th March 2012. The circle, is in essence, a way for spirit to show their being. It is important because spiritual communication focued on though this means, provides a physical link, it is by this that members can witness the power of spirit. Last week, you may be aware, that a member asked for a piece of their clothing to be touched and picked up by spirit; this was done and showed independant thinking. This week, a member, asked spirit if it was possible to know if spirit just decided on who and what would take place during circle; spirit showed an answer to this by providing an image before circle. Siegfried Sassoon, 1886-1967, war poet, memory journalist, diarist and intrepid valiant note taker, visited earlier that day and for a matter of only a few moments, but which gave an answer to the question of whether the spirits decide to visit the circle only at the time of its being and then give information; this sighting of Sassoon suggested that in negative of this ideology spirit had advanced planning of the circle and of who was to attend. Looking into Sassoon, just prior to the circle, threw up the additional shocking revealing news that Sassoon was a soldgier who fought against the war and moreover the realities of war life; it was in his later years that he started to investigate into spiritualism and became a member of the ghost club which was founded in 1862, thought to be one of the oldest clubs to investigate into psychical research, it has roots in Cambridge university where members looked into and debated spiritualis m. In 2012 this club will be celebrating it’s 150th year; and intriguingly this was a club frequented by Peter Kushing, Charles Dickens both of whom have visited the circle before.

The news shown by spirit shows cognitive thought on their behalf; spirit choose who would be and are linked in part and therefore will combine and unite in their evidence for sitting. In this circle, which will follow, it is evident that there is a shared theme from spirit in that of railways, trains, ships invention and Broadstairs (a town in England, this is near the seaside, the county of Kent and is also known as the Garden of England).

The members all gathered, the room prepared with curtains drawn, the light switched off with only a red light to light the room. The objects were the table with the two spirit cones, the ball and the Abacus in the corner. On this occasion a toy car was also added. With two new members, the circle sat, the room checked and locked the sitting began. The member who begins with the drum started to sound out his opening and the words were said; following this the trance took place. It was quiet, members dropped into trance, however momentarily the physical began…

It was icy cold. The mist started to whirl and seconds later the first spirit started to talk. It was words of calm, embracing the deeper aspects of life which can sometimes distress, for it is all a learning, the spirit said, and only when you view things from that level can you understand that all is necessary. Please, consider the position that spirit take and the standing of them side by the circle. He said, with empathy that there would be spiritual aid and then a few moments after he left a loud bang sounded from just outside the circle.

The members asked what it was; to this, another spirit responded with spirits were walking around the circle and making their position known.

The light was jumping. Washes of light getting higher and lower. The actual box with the red light should have remained the same, without anyone sitting near the lever at the back; but it would not remain so, it kept going up then down. The room, also felt heavy, as if a lot of people were coming in. Spirit names started to float through.

First, an image was seen of a man, a kind face with the name Willberforce next to him. As it was an older name, the member, remarked that this was strange. However once again, spirit connected as a new member, had just come from her circle set up in Denmark and it was there that one spirit had spoken in trance before. Wilberforce. The member who was new, said yes, it was Wilberforce and with the name of William Wilberforce, who matched the appearance that spoke in circle. He was a prominant individual who had abolished the slave trade. William Wilberforce (24 August 1759 – 29 July 1833) was a British politician, philanthropist, and a leader of the movement to abolish the slave trade. He headed the parliamentary campaign against the British slave trade for twenty-six years until the passage of the Slave Trade Act 1807.

The spirit showed himself in circle. An exact match for the picture above. With the hair around his face, his features calm, he showed his name and cause. Wilberforce was convinced of the importance of religion, morality and education. He championed causes and campaigns such as the Society for suppression of Vice, British missionary work in India, the creation of a free colony in Sierra Lione, the foundation of religion, and the Society for the Prevention of cruelty for animals; the circle is also a patron for a number of animal charities. His underlying conservatism led him to support politically and socially repressive legislation, and resulted in criticism that he was ignoring injustices at home while campaigning for the enslaved abroad.

There is a number of reasons for his presence at the circle, primarily because the new member had experience of his talking in circle, but also because he shared a passion for animals and love of progression just as the circle does. In later years, Wilberforce supported the campaign for the complete abolition of slavery, and continued his involvement after 1826, when he resigned from Parliament because of his failing health. That campaign led to the Slave Abolition Act of 183 3, which abolished slavery in most of the British Empire; Wilberforce died just three days after hearing that the passage of the Act through Parliament was assured. He was buried in Westminster Abbey, close to his friend William Pitt.

A number of trains were seen. The circle seemed to flit back to the Victorian era. There was a shilouette of Queen Victoria, her outline, and the word Regina. The circle seemed encased in Victoriana, members could see the imagery in the room shape. Following research into the Regina part, it means from Latin the word Queen and also comes from a stem in Itallian.

This was to herald the start to a new period in circle. It seemed as if the date was important, two men were seen. These were gentlemen who wore glasses and were significant to politics. There were so many levels of papers and documents. Also a connection to train network. The words, Crampton were given, also a bridge and the word King, however it was not until a little later that the man was seen who gave the name and connection Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

Isambard Kingdom Brunel 1806 - 1859:

Isambard Kingdom Brunel, FRS (9 April 1806 – 15 September 1859), was an English civil engineer who built bridges and dockyards including the construction of the first major British railway, the Great Western Railway; a series of steamships, including the first propeller-driven transatlantic steamship; and numerous important bridges and tunnels. His designs revolutionised public transport and modern engineering.

Brunel astonished Britain by proposing to extend the Great Western Railway westward to North America by building steam-powered iron-hulled ships. He designed and built three ships that revolutionized naval engineering.

Brunel, his spirit, in circle was not just a link to the trains which he wanted to talk of, but also a link to what would occur later. Transport and travel was on the brink of flourishing in the Victorian era, and it seemed that spirits were intent on showing this.

The imagery were of new transport, the trains were there. Next, the wall looked a canvas, the places and the names of innovation and Telford coming up. Brunel is an intriguing person, In 2002, Brunel was placed second in a BBC public poll to determine the “100 Greatest Britons”. In 2006, the bicentenary of his birth, a major programme of events celebrated his life and work under the name Brunel 2000.

Brunel is perhaps best remembered for designing the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol. Spanning over 700 ft (210 m), and nominally 200 ft (61 m) above the River Avon, it had the longest span of any bridge in the world at the time of construction. Brunel submitted four designs to a committee headed by Thomas Telford, but Telford rejected all entries, proposing his own design instead. Vociferous opposition from the public forced the organizing committee to hold a new competition, which was won by Brunel. Afterwards, Brunel wrote to his brother-in-law, the politician Benjamin Hawes: “Of all the wonderful feats I have performed, since I have been in this part of the world, I think yesterday I performed the most wonderful. I produced unanimity among 15 men who were all quarrelling about that most ticklish subject— taste”. Telford, as you will be able to see, was not as originally thought a place name but the name of a person. It is believed Brunel visited and showed this to highlight the fact that his part played a major role in Britain’s identity.

Work on the Clifton bridge started in 1831, but was suspended due to the Queen Square riots caused by the arrival of Sir Charles Wetherell in Clifton. The riots drove away investors, leaving no money for the project, and construction ceased. Brunel did not live to see the bridge finished, although his colleagues and admirers at the Institution of Civil Engineers felt it would be a fitting memorial, and started to raise new funds and to amend the design. Work recommenced in 1862 and was completed in 1864, five years after Brunel’s death. The Clifton Suspension Bridge still stands, and over 4 million vehicles traverse it every year.

Royal Albert Bridge spanning the river Tamar, this is at Saltlash near Plymouth, Somerset Bridge (a rare timber-laminated bridge nearBridgewater), theWindsor RailwayBridge, and the Maiden head railway Bridge near over the Thames in Berkshire. Now, not only does the Royal connection, link with Queen Victoria as she was shown and this was occuring during her reign but also the Name Albert was seen and said in circle and this was shown in the name of the bridge.

Important work was being done through circle that evening. Names, information pertaining to railways, but ships also came up. Transatlantic shipping was important for the inventor. He gave his aid volentarily to the Great Western shipping company. In 1835 and he tried to invent ships that were at the cutting brink. In 1852 he turned to a ship, larger than her predecessors, intended to voyage to India and Australia. The Great Eastern. This is not only remarkable, but as you will see later, Crampton, a man from Broadstairs where the circle is based, hundreds of years earlier also took on from Brunel. Remarkable and astonishing he too, tried to set telegraph, cables and develop networks that would link England to France.

Great Eastern was built at John Scott Russell’s Napier Yard in London, and after two trial trips in 1859, set forth on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York on 17 June 1860. Though a failure at her original purpose of passenger travel, she eventually found a role as an oceanic telegraph cable-layer. Under Captain Sir James Anderson, the Great Eastern played a significant role in laying the first lasting transatlantic telegraph cable, which enabled telecommunication between Europe and North America

During 1854 Britain entered into the Crimean War, and an old Turkish barracks became the British Army Hospital in Scutari. Injured men contracted a variety of illnesses—including cholera, dysentery, typhoid and malaria—due to poor conditions there, and Florence Nightingale sent a plea to The Times for the government to produce a solution.

Brunel was working on the Great Eastern amongst other projects, but accepted the task in February 1855 of designing and building the War Office requirement of a temporary, pre-fabricated hospital that could be shipped to Crimea and erected there. In 5 months the team he had assembled designed, built, and shipped pre-fabricated wood and canvas buildings, providing them complete with advice on transportation and positioning of the facilities. Brunel had been working Gloucester Docks-based William Eassrie on the launching stage for the Great Eastern, a man who had designed and built wooden prefabricated huts used in both the Australian gold rush, as well as by the British and French Armies in the Crimea. Using wood supplied by timber importers Price & Co., Eassrie fabricated 18 of the two-50 patient wards designed by Brunel, shipped directly via 16 ships from Gloucester Docks to the Dardanelles. The Renkioi Hospital was subsequently erected near Scutari Hospital, where Nightingale was based, in the malaria-free area of Renkioi.

His designs incorporated the necessities of hygiene: access to sanitation, ventilation, drainage, and even rudimentary temperature controls. They were feted as a great success, with some sources stating that of the approximately 1,300 patients treated in the hospital, there were only 50 deaths. In the Scutari hospital it replaced, deaths were said to be as many as 10 times this number. Nightingale referred to them as “those magnificent huts”. The practice of building hospitals from pre-fabricated modules survives today, with hospitals such as the Bristol Royal Infirmary being created in this manner.

It was at this point, a member in circle, felt the presence. Clairscentience also takes place, physical circle, is able to help promote a showing of senses experienced. Whilst spirit were showing, one sitter felt odd, a lump in her throat.. Other sitters could also see a thick mist form in front of them. It was In 1843, while performing a conjuring trick for the amusement of his children, Brunel accidentally inhaled a half-sovereign coin, which became lodged in his windpipe. A special pair of forceps failed to remove it, as did a machine devised by Brunel to shake it loose. At the suggestion of his father, Brunel was strapped to a board and turned upside-down, and the coin was jerked free. He recuperated at Teignmouth, and enjoyed the area so much that he purchased an estate at Watcombe in Torquay, Devon. Here he designed Brunel Manor and its gardens to be his retirement home. He never saw the house or gardens finished, as he died before it was completed. The lump in the sitter’s throat, was a showing of this event.

As shown, spirit can show themselves, and event in circle. Next, another member opened his mouth and spirit voice flowed. Thanking and congratulaing circle. He said that good things were going to occur. He welcomed the two new members. Then, proceeded to say that things would happen. Two names then came, that of Edward and Marina. Now, it is not always clear why these things come. However a putting in of the two names together showed the royal theme Prince George, Duke of Kent (George Edward Alexander Edmund; 20 December 1902 – 25 August 1942) was a member of the British Royal Family, the fourth son and fifth child of George V and Mary of Teck, and younger brother of Edward VIII and George VI. He held the title of Duke of Kent from 1934 until his death in 1942. Now, unbelievably he also went to school in Broadstairs.

Direct voice, this was exhibeted by a spirit voice sounding from a corner of the room. Deep and accented the spirit gave names. This spirit also helped to confirm the link Prince George was in the Royal linear.

Prince George is the uncle of our present Queen of England.

On 12 October 1934, in anticipation of his forthcoming marriage to his second cousin Princess Marina of Greeceand Denmark he was created Duke of Kent, Earl of St Andrews and Baron Downpatrick. The couple married on 29 November 1934 at Westminster Abbey. The bride was a daughter of Prince Nicholas of Greece and Denmarkand a great-niece of Queen Alexandra. It was the last marriage to date between a son of a British Sovereign and a member of a foreign Royal House. Princess Elizabeth (later Elizabeth II), our current Queen who is actually celebrating her diamond jublilee now and daughter of King George VI, married Prince Philip ofGreece in November 1947. This was the last marriage between the British and other Royal families.

Princess Marina became known as HRH The Duchess of Kent following the marriage. She and her husband had three children:

Prince Edward of kent, born, born 9 October 1935;

Princess Alexandra of Kent, born 25 December 1936;

Prince Michael ofKent, born 4 July 1942

As mentioned, another link is that one of the members also came from running circles in Denmark. Princess Marina was also of Denmark.

As will be seen later, an Engineer who was important in transportation, he went to school in Broadstairs just as Prince George who went to St. Peter’s Court Preparatory School atBroadstairs, Kent. This was an astonishing link.

In The Lost Prince, Prince George in 2003 he was portrayed as sensitive, intelligent, artistic and sympathetic to his brother’s plight, his brother was suffering with epilepsy. Upstairs, Downstairs a program on televison, played by Blake Ritson, the Prince is reflected in the 1936 mini series during the short reign of his brother Edward viii as he is upset and troubled, and in 2010 he is seen as refusing to pass a letter to the Fuhrer before the meeting in 19 38 in Germany. The prince is shown in many lights but in circle he was gentle and showed his family link.

It is important to state, that evidence of spirit was rife, reflected in circle. The light was only confirming presence. Crampton was given following this. The name of one Crampton; this man associated himself with social progress. Following looking into it in 1860 Broadstairs stage coach, railways benefited from his design, he was a designer of railways and locomotives, but also chiefly gas, water works submarine and telegraph cable placement was his field. He was the first to lay the effective telegraph cable under the English channel electric tramways and road industry were all given his input. There are numerous links between this individual and that of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, so many that it is impossible to note here, however it is no shock they came together in spirit. Both fitting to follow each other in dates, love of transpor and engeneering. They gave the nation heritage. Something special and they showed it.

Born to John and Mary Crampton of Prospect Cottage (in what is now Dickens Walk), Broadstairs, on 6 August 1816, Crampton was the son of a plumber and architect. He was educated privately. Crampton married Louisa Martha Hall, who was a singer and a friend of Jenny Lind, on 25 February 1841. They had 8 children, six boys and two girls. The eldest girl, Ada Sarah, died aged 4 on 16 February 1857. and Crampton gifted a stained glass window in St. Peter’s church, Broadstairs in her memory. Their youngest daughter, Louisa, was to marry Sir Horace Rumbold, the Ambassador to the Netherlands.

Crampton donated the bridge to Broadstairs. It is Known as Louisa Gap bridge, Crampton was elected Vice-President of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in 1883. He also showed the stained glass in Circle.

The image was given, validated by evidence.

May I finish this account with an expression of sincere admiration. These individuals not only all gave something, through designs, through expression and adding something to the community but gave desire. Spirit showed, that through their valiance, their time and experience they built society. Brunel, Crampton and the Prince showed what they believed in. Wilberforce helped to build society reform and views in the Victorian era.

Thank you, spirits.

Attended the Northdown trance and physical circle on the 19th March 2012. In this sitting, unbeknown to the members something was going to be shown which would show that spirit have a sense of humour, sense of value and belief. The members all sat in their seats, the door was ensured closed and the curtains tightly drawn and pegged. The items on the table were the two trumpets, now with one trumpet so much larger as a result of last time’s circle, it was placed next to newly spirit improved one. The native American was also placed next to the abacus. The crystal ball was also on the table, the abacus in the corner and with lights switched off the opening words were said and the circle started.

One of the members opened the trance with his drum and the sitters all experienced a cool feeling which swept over the circle. The trance started and the mediums felt a dip in both the temperatur e and the light. On some of the mediums, out of trance, viewing the room it was seen that the white film or mist substance had covered over half of the room. The wind chime also had started to swa y. Watching this move, some of the members, felt a rush of little lights. The orbs flashed above and near to members. On seeing this and feeling a rush of senses, spirit messages, also flowed. Many loved ones making themselve s known.

The first spirit to talk wanted to speak on the way in which the world has been put through things, times and waves of events, things which could be perceived as bringing on an upset or daunting sense. The spirit, he stated, that whilst queries had been known, it was more that things would be going through a movement or new evolution. This was not necessarily negative. Things, he said had also been noticed in circle and this was valuable because if things were not said then the movements and energies which had been put in would remain the same. Alongside this speaking, a tape recorder sound, was noticed in the corner of the room; it was a sound of machinery.

Next, a name Gene Pitney, was seen by a medium in the sitting. The energy was male and was seen wearing a suit. On seeing a stage and show behind him, it was inferred he was an entatainer or singer. Next, most shockingly the cd player which was playing native America n music gently into the circle started to turn down. Spirit, was seen next to the Cd player and this was of a native American girl. Young and easy in her moves, she swayed. Next, the music on the player shot up. It was whilst this was going through the motion, that Gene Pitney, also came back into view, a man was shown who had a stroke or more paticularly a heart attack, it was also mentioned that this man had had heart condition before. The Cd player once again grabbed attentio n as it started to jam, the music jutting as it could on a old fashioned record player.

After research it can be confirmed one Gene Pitney was a singer and song writer, not only this but he was someone who had Atherosclerosis, which was a heart condition. This was similar to what was shown with the man in circle. One other member also saw crows, a flock of birds like crows, as they flew across, Gene Pitney was in a group which was alikened to the Crows. The figure of John Wayne was seen, hovering over one side of the room and whilst it was not known it can now be said that Pitney had written the music for a film in which John Wayne stared; however it was never used due to a fight betwe en Famous music and paramount pictures. The film was entitle d The Man who shot Liberty Valance. Gene Pitney was also into psychedel ia, which is a way of looking into musical instruments from the East and Arabia. This was something which was shown by him to the public before The Beatles introduced it, considering that two of the members of circle are from that part of the world, this is somewhat enlightening, just as it is that the date of his passings falls on the date in which something is occuring for the same two people and to which a remark was made with information pertaining to it, the same famous man was also an audio engineer, also called audio technician, audio technologist or sound technician, which is a specialist in a skilled trade that deals with the use of machinery and equipment for the recording, mixing and reproduction of sounds, this could go someway to explaining what was going on with the cd player that night.

Al Jolson, the name was flashed up, then alongside spirit showed a man with black make up and white lips. A lot of the members were experiencing tugs on their hair and touches on their faces. Al Jolson, who was not known by some of the mediums during the circle, was known for exhibitin g this black make up and also as it was the New Year night for two of the circle’s members, it was odd that he should show up and wearing the same kind of costume and make up that people would wear to celebrate, this was evidenced by the red swirls of cloth they wore and also by the red dot s that members could see.

Al Jolson, his performing style was brash and extroverted, and he popularized a large number of songs that benefited from his “shamelessly sentimental, melodramatic approach”. The mood in the circle was bubbly. Numerous well-known singers were influenced by his music, including Bing Crosby, Judy Garland, rock and country entertainer Jerry Lee Lewis, and Bob Dylan, who once referred to him as “somebody whose life I can feel”. The humour was also shown as mediums in the circle all felt the parts of their body touched. Broadway critic Gilbert Seldes compared him to “the Great God Pan,” claiming that Jolson represented “the concentration of our national health and gaiety.”

In the 1930s, Al Jolson was America’s most famous and highest paid entertainer. Between 1911 and 1928, Jolson had nine sell-out Winter G arden shows in a row, more than 80 hit records, and 16 national and international tours. Although he’s best remembered today as the star in the first (full length) talking movie, The Jazz Singer in 1927, he later starred in a series of successful musical films throughout the 1930s. After a period of inactivity, his stardom returned with the 1946 Oscar-winning biographical film, The Jolson Story. Larry Parks played Jolson with the songs dubbed in with Jolson’s real voice. A sequel, Jolson Sings Again, was released in 1949, and was nominated for three Oscars. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Jolson became the first star to entertain troops overseas during World War II, and again in 1950 became the first star to perform for G.I.s in Korea, doing 42 shows in 16 days. He died just weeks after returning to the U.S., partly due to the physical exertion of performing. Defense Secretary George Marshall afterward awarded the Medal of Merit to Jolson’s family.

The breeze in the circle felt like it was trying to get people’s attention. Floating from one person to another. The ch airs also rocked.

According to the St. James Encyclopedia of Popular Culture, “Jolson was to jazz, blues, and ragtime what Elvis Presley was to rock ‘n’ roll”. Being the first popular singer to make a spectacular “event” out of singing a song, he became a “rock star” before the dawn of rock music. His specialty was building stage runways extending out into the audience. He would run up and down the runway and across the stage, “teasing, cajoling, and thrilling the audience”, often stopping to sing to individual members, all the while the “perspiration would be pouring from his face, and the entire audience would get caught up in the ecstasy of his performance”. According to music historian Larry Stempel, “No one had heard anything quite like it before on Broadway.” Author Stephen Banfield agrees, writing that Jolson’s style was “arguably the single most important factor in defining the modern musical . . .”

One of the sitters also asked spirit if they could preform a clothes removal or turning of the like which was with Jack Webber. Jack Webber was a renouned physical medium who often had his clothes turned in circle. Spirit could demonst rate their ability to touch. Well, the medium posed this to spirit. Please read the end of this article to find out what and how this request was taken by spirit.

Al Jolson, as seen in circle, enjoyed performing in blackface makeup – a theatrical convention since the mid-19th century. This was seen by the circle. With his unique and dynamic style of singing black music, like jazz and blues, he was later credited with single-handedly introducing African-American music to white audiences. As early as 1911 he became known for fighting against anti-black discrimination on Broadway. Jolson’s well-known theatrics and his promotion of equality on Broadway he helped to ease the way for black actors and playwrites including Cab Calloway, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, and Ethel Waters.

Titanic then was felt. At first, the circle felt the temperature drop but it was the uncomfortabl e feeling and a sense of panic which washed over the whole circle. A lady was seen over on one side of the room wearing a hat with a feather. The fashion was old and expensive as it was exbited that the hat had a jewel. Next, other members of the circle could see the Titanic. No soon as this was said that a number of spirits walked through the circle. It was icy, there was so many people, newspapers were seen floating about and King George. Only the name King George. However, checking has shown it was King George v who was in position as King at the time of Titanic. A boy was seen, in spirit, he just wanted to mention his sister. After checkin g, a George Hickley, is known of, who was in Derbyman, and who often visited a sibling. This was his sister, Mrs. Knowles. He was 39 and whilst he had an odd feeling about the ship he was about to work on he remarked on this sensation to his sister; he was on board Titanic and was not known of after it went down.

Gene Pitney was also prone to writing his songs in Italian, Spanish and German but there were also people of these countries aboard the Titanic and these place names also flashed up in circle.

Emma, renouned spiritualist and medium who had been visited, by a seaman who told her of a ship event also made an appearance. However, here is where the circle took a turn. A man was seen in uniform and whilst aboard the Titanic something befell him which was both sad and traumatic. Wilde who later, picture matched that of the man seen in circle, also wrote to his sibling and while on Titanic he wrote a letter to his sister “a queer feeling about the ship.” These were his words on his feelings. George, the man who was mentioned earlier, also expressed the same emotions.

Both Wilde, George and William Murdoch aboard the Titanic were all the age of 39.

Scottish symbols were seen. Above one member Kendel mint cakes were seen and then thistles. William Murdoch who was also seen for a few second s, was on the Titanic and a colleage of Wilde wh o came from his home town of Dalbeattie, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland there is a memorial to his heroism and a charitable prize has been established in his name. The charitable prize was given a donation by the James Cameron film for its false portrayal of Murdoch after the residents of Dalbeattie complained.

It is however Wilde, who was most seen, in circle he showed that he was valiant in the last moments of Titanic. He tried hard to serve and be standing. Henry Wilde was christened at the Loxley Congregational Chapel in Bradfield, Yorkshireon 24 October 1872. He was the son of Henry Wilde, an insurance surveyor from Ecclesfield, South Yorkshire. His mother was Elizabeth Tingle of Loxley, Bradfield. Henry went to sea in his teens. He apprenticed with Messrs. James Chambers & Co., Liverpool. His apprenticeship began on 23 October 1889, onboard the 1835-ton Greystoke Castle, and concluded four years later on 22 October 1893. From there, he served as third mate aboard the Greystoke Castle, and then moved on to third mate of the 1374-ton Hornsby Castle. His first steamship posting was aboard the S.S. Brunswick in 1895, where he served initially as third mate, then as second mate. In 1896, he transferred to the S.S. Europa and served aboard her as second mate. In July 1897, he joined the White Star Line.

It did seem as if the last minutes dramatically turned Wilde’s life around. First from even being on that ship. He was meant to serve on another ship but at the last minute White Star requested his presence. In circle from his clothing, Wilde was official and upstanding, his sad dem is e was traumatic and shown to circle. Starting as a junior officer, Wilde rose steadily through the ranks while serving on several White Star ships. These included the Covic, Cufic, Tauric, and Delphic. Tragedy struck in December 1910 when Wilde’s wife and twin sons Archie and Richard died. In August 1911, Wilde became Chief Officer of Titanic‘s sister, the RMS Olympic, where he served under Titanic‘s future captain, Edward J. Smith. Once again a sibling was referred to and this time in the form of a ship.

His position showed whan an exceedingly suitable person he was and his image in circle was one that of a man who wanted to put the record straight and show that he was valiant and whilst some rumours of events were placed on the wrong people, he was decisive and reserved judgement until things could be played as he thought best.

The images in circle were sad. They were filled with unknown activity. It was felt, sensed and more than seen in some cases the spirits showed that whilst the last moments were obstructive and cloudy, now peace was felt.

The light in the room was jumping.

White Cloud was also seen. This alongside the Oglala. The face of an elder was seen. After research it can be shown that White Cloud was a medicine man and prophet. His fearthers were noted in circle. The sioux were not seen but the name Oglala was. This after research can be shown as another name for them.

There was a moment, where tapping was heard on the side of the room and then clearly a spirit was seen walking across the room. Whilst some members found this extra extraordinary, it was the exileration and wonder that was seen.

Tonto, who is Jay Silver heels (Silverheels) also originally known as Harold Jay Smith, son of Canadian Mohaw k chief Nova scotia; at first the names tonto and Novo scotia were seen and after looking into this can be linked as the actor who came from a clan in that part of the country. Nova Scotia is also known as another name for new scotland.

Pets were also seen in the circle. The animals belonging to members of the circle came through. Running around the table and expressing their love.

There was evidence that animals like humans do not die, once they pass they get their youth and health back. They will be waiting to meet their owners when the time comes. After circle, the items were checked, the trumpets this time remained the same but something very extraordinar y took place as the person who had asked for some clothes tampering got a bit of a shock. Whilst the outer layer of her clothes, a jumper, had not been removed or twisted round because this would be uncomfortable, her under layer had been streched and pushed to round her waist. The straps, which she had felt popping, in the circle had been loosened and widened. This was both wonderfu ll but also proved that spirit were capable of independant thinking.

Pics are of Henry Wilde, the Titanic, William Murdoch, Gene Pitney and Al Jolson. As you can see, in the picture Gene Pitney is also wearing a suit as shown in circle.

Pics are taken from online encyclopeadia.

I hope you like reading this blog as much as we loved the circle.
